If the religious mess was sorted at the time of partition we wouldn't have politicians playing the religious card.

Here we are even so many years of independence still fighting something which should be a personal matter and shouldn't be a country matter.

Well if by that he means no special categories in civic life, I kind of agree. One law for everyone under a secular constitution in a secular country.

Congress tried to have it both ways at the time with special laws for Muslims. I mean, seriously? Expect the same from every group. Anything else is soft bigotry, TBH.

Instead of blaming the politicians for playing people over religion cards, blame a historic event done 75 yrs back. How convenient. 🤪

Hyundai India and Hyundai Pakistan are not different entities just because they deal with operations in two different countries because the Parent company Hyundai is one and the same.

Kashmir is a very sensitive issue and Hyundai should’ve known better before taking sides. And if they really believed what they said, then why did the remove those tweets like bheegi billis. I grew up in India....and although there used be clashes here and there but religion was never a bigger issue than other issues like health, education , unemployment mehngai etc....in school we never even worried about religion...and yet for the last 7-8 years religion has become the major issue because the partition was not done right....matlab blame game ka level dekhiye...🤪

These things don't happen in a vacuum, BI. People listened to these politicians because prior politicians made a mess of things. You think if India was a happy, equal place with plenty of jobs and low crime and no religious bigotry, Modi would've stood a chance?

Yes, problems did start from independence. Everyone else was mandated to be monogamous, but constitution allowed 4 wives for Muslim men. Triple talaaq was legal. Many other things.

The Congress did this to keep Indian Muslims happy.

And *I* am old enough to remember the Bombay riots and so on and so forth. So things weren't as hunky dory as a child would imagine. India was no utopia at the time which was ruined by BJP.

I don't agree with an apartheid constitution and Hindu rashtra. But secularism should include all people.

It is malicious critique, because let's say that people from another culture or country far away from India even heard or knew about Ms. LM and was watching and had no idea what he was doing...BUT people in India who were watching or cared about Ms. LM passing would know that SRK is paying his respect in the most sublime way he knows how, I mean none of what goes on at an Indian funeral is news or rare for ALL the people in the country and even if you are observing as an extra terrestrial you simply wait and ask if you want to know about a rite you do not understand before you jump to conclusions. Therefore I conclude, it is malicious rhetoric and by now everyone recognizes the political tinge it has, so it is not just conspiracy theory or ignorance but fact that there is a hate mongering machine at work...something very VERY disturbing world wide...
