I've have never ever felt the need to quote anything uttered by Aditya Kumar Tripathi until this one here utterance. It intrigued me so much I am gonna be quoting it a lot so be prepared.
My take on this was more she turned to the Tripathis to say "I'm sorry to leave you in this mess. I would like to discuss it further with you but I gotta go, my angry half- husband is waiting in the car and he hates to wait" then Aparna gave her a nod to say "it's ok, we understand", then she left.
I didn't see it as her seeking permission from them to go so it's really 'interesting' when you get to see how someone interpreted the same scene.

#1 made her naukrani of T house (being her husband n all; even if he was angry at her that's no reason for active/passive humiliation of your wife)
#2 made her owner of T house (no relationship/no expectations; knowing full well it's sheer waste of his money only to reduce her guilt of not being able to help and stop her from wasting tears on unworthy people)
Me too, you know. I was hoping she abandoned it outside the Tripathi house and the police traced it there and came to arrest her. She still has the outstanding legal issue of breaking out of jail pending, right? Granted, the charges for which she was originally arrested are null and void but she should at least get a reprimand for escaping from jail rather than proving her innocence in a court of law. Creatives need to at least show her returning the auto and compensting the driver for his losses. A female lead whose mahaanta only extends to the family of her ex in laws does not look good.
He was clearly shocked. Now, I don't know if he was shocked because for the first time he was just arriving at the same conclusion as Imlie did, that he was in love with her or whether he had already worked out he was in love and was shocked more at the fact that Imlie had realised he was in love with her.
