The whole premise of the show was built on having strangers from different backgrounds living under one roof and competing on an equal playing field. I get it, she already had a strong fanbase outside the show but once inside, all contestants should be given a fair chance at the trophy and that clearly wasn't the case. It takes away from the integrity of the show when makers treat it more like a business transaction and less like a reality show (you yourself mentioned they'll go where there's profit). It ain't her fault, I agree, but she's part of the bigger problem of how indian reality tv works and that's my point.
I can assure you the odds would be much less in her favor if there wasn't a clear-cut narrative being spun to the audience from Day 1. They let her get away with so much bullshit and even defended the same at times. Like that woman would legit mix her jhoota leftovers into a pot meant for other inmates... And this was never even mentioned once on WKV or brought up in main episodes. This blatant favoritism throughout her journey is what people have an issue with, not that she was/was not popular.
