Why was udit selected over Sonu ?

I know why Ofcourse. Udit is better. But the Sasti Rafi copy was ignored 🤣

thank God he wasn't selected else he would have been called by bad names by Asha bhosle as asha did with udit, in one interview asha bhosle insulted udit narayan badly for this song , she said udit murdered the soul of kishore kumar by singing it 😉

and thank god that sonu was selected for the orginal song aaj ke raat rather than the cover 😉

sonu dont need to at that point, sonu was getting much original songs in 2006 so had no time for remakes , udit needed song as he was not getting songs during 2006 so he had to sing remakes then

Udit had sung 3 songs for vivah and thats all what he had , and vivah songs were outdated for a 2006 ,, Udit vivah songs doesnt make any difference to him probably those kinds of songs he had sung 50 000 times in the 90's, udit couldn't cope up to be in the scene for westernised singing then,,,, udit was senior but was overshadowed by kumar sanu in early 90's so technically udit as a mainstream singer started got to be A lister during 94 or 95 only after kumar sanu passed his peak

I still listen to the Kishore Da version only 😆
