A Defence of Kairav Goenka

Kairav rarely speaks, and we keep taunting him for it, but the one line he spoke that day to both Akshu and Arohi actually summed up what he felt for both of them. Akshara wasn't wrong to fight for her love, Aarohi wasn't wrong for being ambitious, but both of them went about it in the most stupid way possible. Akshara's mistake was to not account for her timing and her place, and that ended up painting AbhiRa as the villains in the story. But Kairav also knows that Aarohi was equally wrong, that while she may appear to be a victim today, she isn't one, and he actually manages to tell her that.

"It is difficult to constantly stand up for the person who refuses to stand up for themselves"

I have noticed that Kairav only speaks up for Akshara when she speaks up first. It happened at the tilak, and then again at the wedding. We don't actually have an outline of what happened during the leap, but we can predict that Kairav's initial attempts to stand up for Akshara were shut down by Akshara herself, to the extent that Kairav himself gave up. But now that she has started standing up for herself, her love and her dreams, Kairav will definitely support her. This was actually shown in Abhi and Kairav's conversation where he tells Abhi that despite their efforts to convince Akshara that she was in no way responsible for Sirat's death, however, it is Akshu who has been unable to forgive herself, no thanks to Aarohi's ranting.

TLDR here is, poor Kairav gets blamed by the fandom for being quiet and not forceful enough almost all the time, but jab banda bolta hai, he manages to piece together the limited information he has properly and actually sahi baat bolta hai, surprisingly insightful hai.

i fully agree with you what can KAIRAV do if AKSHU is idhar udhar and unable to make up her mind

in fact KAIRAV has always gone along and supported whatever AKSHU decided he is not her mind reader

And not just Akshara and her IDHAR UDHAR, even Aarohi and her BEST, this guy can read the room and put together all sorts of verbal clues to actually arrive to a logical conclusion.

Bechara itna stress me that ke, he wore a normal color suit today....his mind stopped working because akshu was with abhi and he was trying to protect abhira...kind brother,,I always knew he would support abhira..

Poor Kairav has reached the stage where he mutely goes along with whatever Akshu decides, if she wants to be a mahan aatma, tou he will agree, if she wants to go to Abhi, tou woh bhi theek hai...

It’s just a pity that Kairav Goenka has become a shadow of the past. He used to be so important before and now he’s just a supporting character who can’t even do nothing. Can we have his parallel story please?

That happened to Naksh too in the past... YRKKH was terrible at handling parallel stories after the Kaira Vivah...

Kairav is bearable because he is insightful like that, but he should have been more assertive. He had to practically grow up sooner to be a care giver for his sisters. Akshara is all that he has left of both his parents. He should be assertive when it comes to her, protect her, safeguard her interests.

He doesn’t need to do that for Arohi but she knows how to do it for herself.

What is to say he didn't try? We have seen Akshara shut him down so many times before. There is only so many times one can stand up for someone who cannot stand up for themselves before giving up... It is similar to how Abhi has resigned himself to how Manjiri will always try to gain Harsh's love.

Not just in Abhi’s matter, from the beginning, as a character trait he should have helped her in not being conditioned in such a manner. He is quite elder to Akshara, he could have seen things happening when he had started going to college if not earlier.
