Coming to that walking behind her scene. They again added a direct contrast with Aditya walking behind Imlie in the PD2 track.

In the AdiLie track, Imlie was walking away from Aditya and Aditya was following her. Aditya was jealous of Prakash, he was insecure about his position in her life and he was not willing to address his feelings for Imlie.

In AryLie track, its more about letting Imlie lead, keeping his end of the bargain of being her partner. Inspite of his own issues with Aditya, he still chose to let her do her thing and be in her element and stand behind her keeping his own issues aside.

The contrast here being that Imlie's strength scared Aditya that she did not need him anymore and made him insecure of his position in her life. Aryan on the other hand, is inspired by Imlie's strength, her faith, her hope, her views. Inspite of being so antagonistic about Aditya, he chose to keep that aside to help Imlie as he had promised.

Imlie's strength has been a cause of fear for Aditya always, cause what she can do, he can only imagine. In his head he is some heroic journalist but Imlie always shows him how weak he is at the end of the day, a normal regular weak character. Since Imlie was so besotted by him, he tried to regulate and mould her courage in his favor and confidently used it to save his sorry ass cause Imlie is my wife and loves me and will protect me always. He wanted Imlie to walk on the way he carved out for her so that Imlie remains with him and continues worshipping his unappealing self and put up with his stupid decisions.

Aryan on the other hand is okay with Imlie's volatility. He knows she needs direction and guidance, nothing more. Rest Imlie can handle on her own. If and only if he feels that she needs him that is when he only steps in. And I have seen it in most scenes that Aryan always stays in the background to let Imlie do her thing and never steps in. That is why I always see him as Shiv to Imlie's Shakti. Shiv was a self assured God confident of his consort's abilities. So he always let her do her thing and stayed behind. Only when things went out of control did Shiv step in. I always see AryLie in the Shiv-Shakti context than the Ram-Sita one.

This is just awesome, shows the contrast between Aditya and Aryan. As you have mentioned, Aryan is one secure man and only a strong man can NOT be insecure of his strong woman. Thanks for bringing this out so clearly.

When Aryan began walking behind her in the storm, it so reminded me of the PD3 track when Aditya follows Imlie. Your analysis is spot on. Aditya was insecure, jealous and plain old stupid. He wanted her but could not express himself and fell on his knees to stop her from leaving him.

Aryan knows nothing will stop her once she has set her mind on something, so he lets her be stupid, but follows her not with the intention of stopping her but with the intention of supporting her, knowing full well that she will fall. He is very much a learn-by-consequences type of guy, isn't he? Except he is there to bolster her every single time. I still can't get over how he pulls her back the second time in the storm. The first time, she walks into the storm, one that is much stronger than her physical strength. You can see the awareness build between them, the eye lock, Aryan silently admonishing - why are you being so stubborn babe? why can't you see reason? - her, being aware of the power he is capable of having over her and stubbornly turning around to leave again. But this time, he does not allow her this foolishness and pulls her back. This time, giving voice to his thoughts. And what comes out is not jealousy, apologies, threats....no, he calls her out for her madness, she cries, a tear drops on his hand and he tones it down a little. He tells her she is a strong woman and she WILL save Aditya but to do so, she has to save herself first! Airplane warnings remember? Put your mask on first before helping others put theirs on. AND he reminds her, of her self worth but IF she needs him, he will always be there. This whole scene just won my heart!!❤️

What separates Aditya and Aryan are motives. Aditya wants to hold on to her for himself, Aryan will probably want to do so too, but he will always let her go and watch her come back to him after she is done doing her thing.

- Also, another powerful scene. This is great and the makers are finally showing Imlie standing up and choosing her own battles. Also, glad to see how they have designed Aryan's character.

That one year of hurt and Aryan's indirect (and direct) support has made her so strong that she no longer needs a man to protect her. Even when she does need help she doesn't ask for it cause she wants to figure things out herself.

Aryan supports her decisions (no matter how idiotic they can be) and let's her take charge like a true partner. However, when the time comes he will step in to take charge when Imlie is not able to handle it. True partnership here... just love this ❤️❤️.
