I agree with you but then makers want trps and they like to please fans by lollipop scenes and balance it with ott drama for trp audience. They are afraid of backlash and they immediately reacted by giving that dv clarification scene between maan. They tried to balance lots of things together and fall flat face down on the ground🤣
So, yes it could have been handled maturely and executed better but cant really hope that kind of talent from itv creatives😆

Establishing a lame plot before time doesn't make it a great plot. Audience have every right to demand a better plot and writing. Audience is what makes a show hit
