Depends on the offense Shruthi would have committed. If her offense is punishable with death in Indian law, then 7 years. If the offense is punishable with life imprisonment, then 3 years, if the offense is punishable with less than 10 years of jail, then he would be punished with 1/4th of the longest possible term of jail for the offense the criminal committed.
