See, right? There's no justification for an Arylie marriage, rn. It's just her socialisation working against her worst nature. But I see no logical way to continue Aditya's character. Right now, Imlie will happily go back to being his mistress. That thing which he asked on mirchi kand will come true . I don't want them to get married like this, but, eh it's going to happen. What I think should happen is neither of them taking the marriage too seriously. She shouldn't move into his bedroom and all that jazz. I don't want her to change her name or something. Aru too doesn't have that toxic proprietary nature. He won't randomly go "Imlie Aryan Singh Rathore" whenever it's convenient to him.

But a subconscious boundary wall be drawn between jija-saali. Also, Arylie office interactions will be so fun to watch.

@Libran— I agree that it won't stop her BS-ing, but it'd stop her from going back to the Ts, and that's the point here, methinks. Also, it's an important vehicle to turn Aditya negative. Don't see how else he could turn negative given he saw both Aryan and Imlie try to save him.

I definitely am in agreement that no marriage needs to actually happen but the writers have brought us to a point where that’s what’s going to move the story forward. A few subtle changes they could’ve easily done and no wedding. Which is what I’d been hoping they were going to do - that they would have it completely be opposite to the first time Imlie was forced.

@bold - this! I’ve been thinking something similar. They go ahead with it given no choice but this time both are in agreement that it didn’t happen, that it doesn’t change anything? I don’t see Aryan ever trying to impose his name and any sort of marital rights on Imlie, and Imlie despite her social conditioning is in no place to begin accepting being married to another man. That social conditioning though, like you said, does prevent her from going back to the T house.

I know they won’t wait this long to bring Aditya back, but can you imagine a day where Imlie has realized she’s in love and dresses up with mangalsutra and sandoor, she’s going to tell Aryan how she feels, and just as she’s going to/about to tell Aryan - Aditya arrives! The angst to come from that?!

I've decided that I want AryLie marriage so that they become the "official couple" and we can finally convert DT to AT.

Yeah it will happen. They ain't giving all those romantic scene with them just being two strangers in nameless relation. Taraplus and trp aunties won't bless that kind of relations. So in the name shadi toh hoga hi *ITv experienced watcher*
