He used to steal also. The story was told by both him and his sister/mother. During his school/college days he used to steal Ridhima's clothes and jewelries and gift those to his girlfriends. Stealing is also one of the traits sociopaths have.

No one should diagnose someone they don’t know but I think most are saying he showcases sociopathic tendancies based on reliable sources (his mum and himself) and various disturbing incidents that your regular guy would not get away with: almost drowning his maid, his attitude towards his sister, him almost drowning Priyanka, him feeling a deep connection with a psychopathic fictional character, his overall lack of empathy, mood swings. etc. It’s either they are exaggerating things and trying to build this dark/I’m special persona or he indeed has serious issues he needs to address as this is disturbing.

I remember once had a discussion with my teacher who has a degree in psychology. She told me that sociopaths are most difficult to diagnose, as they are really good at faking their emotions.

Parents were always fighting, did not get much attention anyway, conduct problems are common in such kids. I don't think these issues were addressed during his growing years which is why none of his relationships worked so far.

And for god sake she clearly mentioned that "he knew that she cant swim". When a child with that kind of mind to process that info is there then how can he be excused?

The behavior is definitely abnormal and unhealthy. However, I wouldn't diagnose it as a psychopath or sociopath without a professional diagnosis. Children who experienced neglect act out in unhealthy ways. The way Neetu tells it, Ranbir was acting out and was getting isolated as punishment instead of a healthy discussion of actions, consequences, and discipline.
