The one where she would fight the world to stand by the side of the one person who has never left her either. The one relation which she labels as 'best friend' but the words are too small to even scratch the depth of their love. All the words in every language of the world aren't enough to describe their complex-to-name but effortlessly simple relation. It's pure, it's unconditional, and it's simply beautiful.

The Judge: 'Tumhaari hamesha koi alag hi story chal rahi hoti hai, na?'
The one where she is the quickest in the room to judge, often leading to the most wrong conclusions. The worst part? She doesn't pause to verify. She is stupidly confident at times, and jumps head first, often resulting in some owed apologies which she stutters out with a wilted gaze.

The Fumbling, Tumbling and Confused: 'Tum kya keh rahi ho?' 'Main... Main...'
She isn't the hardest to confuse. It's easy to spin her around, and it doesn't take more than a few sentences for her to be lost in her head, wondering where she started from and what exactly she wanted to say. It often leads to some exasperated people around and a too-lost-to-be-embarrassed Monami. She may be a good enough dancer, but her feet don't always obey to her, resulting in some painful tumbles but all's not that bad with this one, because it had resulted in some romantic moments too.

The Quirky: 'Excuse me? Yeh kya stupid technique hai?'
Be it hugging trees to expel her sadness, be it treating a potted plant as one of her closest friends and be it having unusual tricks for unusual situations, she is undoubtedly a quirky one. She accepts her quirks in open, happily explaining her reasoning and encouraging others to join in, and it often results in getting the weirdest looks, before it grows on people.

The Insecure: 'Tum bhi sochte hoge na, kaisi jhalli si, fumbling tumbling ladki hoon main.'
Not every thing is chin up, shoulders squared, and like anyone else, she isn't free from the random, unexpected bouts of doubts that hit, leaving an unsure and insecure person behind. But it doesn't take much more than a few words to instill her confidence back in her and she's bouncing back with all her silly antics, endearing and annoying people alike.

The Stubbornly Determined: 'Har situation se deal karne ke liye main ready hoon.'
A strong willed girl, hidden the layers of her father's controlling nature, she finally spreads her wings in the academy, fighting against odds to reach there. Setting her feet in a rocky, wavering boat, she doesn't give up despite the problems, facing them head-on and fighting for her dream.

The Crazy In Love: 'Yeh hospital ke baad se yeh Monami thoda ajeeb sa behave nahi kar rahi?'
If there was one word for her love phase, it would be 'crazy'. From seeing daydreams, to hugging a picture of his heartbeat, to getting lost as she stared at him, she was positively crazy in love. Call it her quirk, call it an embarrassing, cute and annoying side effect of being in love, there is no denying that a few screws might have fallen in the process of running after him.

The Emotional: 'Har baar emotions mein behkar dil ki sunti ho. Dimaag ki kyun nahi sunti ho!?'
Perhaps her biggest flaw is the flow of emotions she allows herself to flow with. If there's one word to describe Monami Mahajan, it's empathetic or emotional. It's a coin toss, which sometimes leads to a beautiful, understanding relationship yet things sometimes go the worst possible route with a few hastily taken, emotional decisions.

The Optimistic: 'Jin logon ko main like nahi karti, un mein bhi acchai dhoond leti hoon main.'
Do 8 good things, and 2 bad things, people would only remember the bad. In a world, where the worst is always what people assume of others, it's rare to find people who'd look past the bad and the ugly and see the good and the beautiful.
The Understanding: 'Jab tumhaari koi galti hai hi nahi, toh maafi kis baat ki?'
Going hand and hand with her emotional and empathetic behavior, she is often one that catches on to the people's pure intentions and reasonings, despite how messed up or mysterious their actions be. Be it considerate of Karan's trauma, or Koel's fear, she is accepting and understanding of the people around her and the situations life have dealt them.
The Fearless: 'Gun hata. You will regret it!'
Be it facing off a bunch of insolent boys with a gun to her head, or fighting a surgeon with no ethics, or a crazy sadistic criminal, she is a dauntless girl with a lioness' heart.

The Right Do-er: 'No, Karan. This is wrong. Yeh galat hai!'
Whether her right is wrong for others, whether doing the right is hard, she firmly believes in doing the right thing. From risking her life for strangers in a hospital, to forgiving boys after a sincere apology, she is vocal and opiniated about rights and wrongs, and doesn't waver from doing what's right according to her.

The One-Sided Lover: 'Wo mujhse keh raha tha... woh keh raha tha ki mujhse kabhi pyaar nahi kar paayega.'
The pain of having an unrequited love, but yet accepting the other person's feelings, respecting their decision, and letting them go is a proof of strength in itself. Yet, the want to be closer, the hope that one day the other person might feel the same is something that didn't fade away for Monami either.

Tumhaare bin deewaane ka kya haal hai.

The Heartbroken: 'Jab aapka pyaar poora nahi hota, toh bahut dard hota hai, Sid. Duniya ki saari strength fail ho jaati hai, Sid. It hurts a lot, Sid. It hurts a lot.'
When a heart breaks, its pieces sting and bleed, and it's no different for her. She is broken, and being a highly emotional person, it's almost a physical pain as she cries and yearns for the incomplete love that slipped through her fingers, leaving behind painful memories that were supposed to be beautiful.

Reeling with the death of his older brother, Karan's anger and grief had given way to a prejudice against rich, spoiled and privileged kids, who are too selfish and careless to even care about a person's life. It's a deep, ingrained belief that's not easily shaken and the burning flames of anger has set burned Sid and Monami.
The Protective: 'You know, na, wo academy aur apne cadets ko lekar kitna protective hai.'
He might be fed-up with his namoonas and their antics, and he might want to strangle them, but dare anyone else even eye them with a bad intention, he'd pounce like the lion he is, and tear their throat apart. Be it Monami's dad, a sadistic criminal, some insolent boys or Koel's monster of a husband, if you messed with his cadets, he won't sit back and watch.
The Determined: 'Monami Mahajan, tumhe toh main academy mein waapas laakar rahoonga.'
Call it stubbornness, call it determination, but there's no denying that he's not going to sit down and shut up till he gets what he has decided to get. If he has decided to protect you, he'll unite the sky and Earth to keep you from harm. If he has decided to kill you, he'll roll his sleeves back and do the job. So, beware. It's a risky venture.

The Jealous: 'Yeh doctor kuch zyaada friendly nahi ho raha hai?'
Enter third person. And exit on a stretcher. It's fun for the people around, but for the people involved, it's anything but fun. Seeing his dhadhkan favor another guy over himself, the fire of jealousy is adorable to watch but it's going to engulf Aneesh in its burning inferno. Lesson? Don't look at his Rani Sahiba.
The Khadoos: 'Khadoos Shergill!'
Khadoos. Karan Shergill's default setting. It's easy for him to slip into it, and people dealing with him should expect it at every moment. It's his first impression and unless you manage to get him to care for you, it's the only impression.
The Fighter: 'Tumhaare pyaar ke liye Aneesh kya, saari duniya se bhi ladhna padhe toh main ladhunga.'
If Karan Shergill isn't something, it's someone who gives up. He is an army man, and he is going to win or die fighting. Be it mission or be it the war called love, he's all in for a struggle. Be it criminals or Aneesh, he's all ready to give his best. And the report card? It has an unusually high success rate.
The Closed Off One: 'Tumne apni alag ek duniya bana li hai.'
A bubble. A different world. That's where Karan Shergill is living. Most don't attempt to wiggle into this one, and most don't attempt to pull him from it. It's a dangerous venture. But the ones who do and succeed find themselves with his undying loyalty and admiration. It's a test, and not many pass it.
Warning: This test may result in some aggressive scolding, some physical injuries and a lot of tears. Advance at your own risk.
The Bold: 'Aapko jo karna hai, kariye.'
Karan Shergill isn't scared to take a leap, and if it's for the people he cares about, he won't be scared to tumble down a hill to keep them safe and happy. Damn the consequences. Whether it be taking a brutal step to protect Sanju, or a stern one to protect Monami's dreams, he is ready to keep a lot of things on line to have his loved ones safe.
The Strategist: 'Action se pehle strategy aati hai.'
It might be tough to match Karan in fists and fighting, but that doesn't mean he's just another mindless brute. He's as able to think as he is to fight, and part of what makes him dangerous is his strategic brain. He can twist and turn a victory out of losing hands, and it's better to keep every sense sharp if you have made the grave mistake of taking Karan Shergill as an enemy. Well, frankly, there isn't a point. You are going down anyway.
The Sharp-Tongued: 'Papa ke har argument ka counter-argument tha uske paas.'
Karan Shergill's fists aren't the only thing to watch out for. His tongue is just as lethal, whipping out words and comebacks that would shut up even the best of people. Be it Rawat, Dr. Mahajan or Aneesh, all had to shut their mouths after he was done with them.
The Brutally Dangerous: 'Karan ne Sid ko torture kara hai!'
Remember the warning? Not to cross Karan Shergill? Here's what happens when you cross him. Brutality, darkness and a lot of pain. The darkness that fills him makes an appearance when his loved ones are threatened, and he might cross limits when the limits of his patience are tested.

The Dark: 'Mujh jaise dark insaan se jitna door rahoge, utna behtar.'
Karan Shergill is a dark person. A short tempered, self-righteous person who only lives for duty and his loved ones, it's a deep, deep downhill if he lets himself loose and gives in to his black urges. Here's a warning. If you poke the sleeping lion too much, you won't even know when he'll chew you off. Or maybe you would, because you'd be screaming as he eats you alive... That took a dark turn. That's what will happen to your life if you mess with him.

Karan Shergill is a complex creature, and the easiest thing to do when you run across a being like this, is to misunderstand him. But don't blame yourself, you aren't the only one. Be it Monami, the cadets or even the police at a point, all had mistaken the tough exterior for an empty chest, with no heart. Here's a secret. He has a heart, and it beats too. But shh, you didn't hear it here.
The Shoulder To Cry On: 'Aap humaari himmat ho, Sir ji.'
A rock solid support to his peers, he can be a great listener when need be, and the support to which they'll fall back on when need be, and he'll always, always be there. The first thing you need to know to being an ally of Karan Shergill, there's no one more dependable than him.
A Guilty Heart: 'Galti meri hai, Faizi!'
Even the strongest people can crumble under the guilt of their actions. The hardest forgiveness to earn is yours. Karan is no stranger to it, holding the guilt of not being able to save his brother close to him for years, and the pain of it led to another guilt-wrenching incident in the form of shooting Monami.

It's a helpless feeling, wanting to fix a mistake you might not be able to fix. Whether it's rejecting Monami because he didn't understand his own feelings, or whether it's being seemingly rude to a person who loved him, Karan isn't foreign to it. And he's going to do everything to fix the mistakes or at least, ease the pain.
The Yaar: 'Agar phas gaye toh tu hai, na, bachaane ke liye.' 'Hamesha.'
A friend who understands him inside out, a friend who is there to keep him in check, Faizi is just that for Karan. From blind trust to girl advice to teasing, Faizi and Karan don't have walls between them. Words aren't needed, and they aren't enough to describe their bond.

A true patriot at heart, there is no one and nothing more important to a soldier than his country and Karan Shergill is no different. His life is surrendered and devoted to his country and it won't take a second's thought to throw himself to protect his country and his people. Duty is foremost and everything else falls after it.
Karan Shergill has many identities- of a brother, of an uncle, of a friend, of a lover. But all come after one identity- a soldier.

Right now Writer maintained Karan's character nicely
and it good to see that A person can maintain/balance his/her Professional and personal life .
Shades acc to roles ,Soft for family /beloved one /closed on and Tough /Sorted /calculative for Enemy /patient .
ITV has an Weird Habit of Spoiling Character once he/she fallen in love and I hope Writer Won't follow That Route 🤞
