He was back when he started I think 2010 his show on NDTV imagine was a super hit called Kitni Mohabbat Hai. He’s done another popular show on Sony I forgot the name. Few web series. Couple MTV shows and reality shows. Fanaa on mtv was pretty popular. He’s done some Bollywood and web movies, one of them was the 1920’s movie with Zareen Khan. He’s a well known face, and always doing something. Idk what he’s been up to the past year tho I just remember seeing him in a lot of things. I’m not even a fan 😂 I just remember watching him as a kid

His TV show tht made him a star is still mass loved in different countries n languages. And YES he never had acting background cos he was a businessman b4 yet managed to win people with his portrayal.
His Punjabi movie Pure Punjabi was hit n songs were famous too. They made much more money than they expected. And HE was the Central character.
He was already doing MTV Roadies n got to meet VJ Anusha on a MTV trip where all vjs n hosts were part of it.
Got into Biggboss bcos he is THE Karan Kundra n famous enough who has been approached since years.
Regarding his Exes Kritika being the one he had major relationship with has all the nice things to say about him, still fond of him as a friend n it's fun whenever they meet so yes bcos of ONE famous fallout he got labels.
