But yes like you she should be the one to tell Abhimanyu about the MD truth, it would the final step towards her choosing Abhimanyu. Ofcourse it's not easy not at all.
I don't want the makers to take the easy way out and someone else telling him the truth.
Also I have a feeling that the confession wouldn't be forced out of her. She would come to him on her on accord. No idea how it will happen but I think it would.

Akshu lying even though we can't justify as meher said this might be the first time akshu lied. Her first and only lie in show was telling she doesn't love abhi and rest all built from their. This might as well be her first time lying and she is seeing it's consequences.
But she knew aarohi character which her own family had not seen. Telling seems no point aarohi can easily twist akshu words. That's why she kept shut on fire accident day. Back then if she had this photo she might as well showed it to abhi on her own but lot has happened after that. she wanted to actually meet abhi on that day before aarohi interfered.
