They have really screwed up Abhimanyu's part.

If he himself can't identify the motivation behind the dialog then it's probably difficult for him to figure out how to deliver it realistically. There have been some ridiculous situations and dialogs in these last few episodes. The fact that he delivered them in character without cracking up is amazing. I'd be gasping with laughter in his place🤣

Anybody saying such dialogues would sound cringe it’s amazing that HC doesn’t burst out laughing my god he must have amazing self control

By now it's clear HC is doing this show because it's high trps show and also because he could be charging lot of money which Rajan Shahi can afford. Frankly speaking, I was initially disappointed when he took up this role after waiting for 3 long years but now I realized all these years he gained so much love of fans and fame and appreciation. The only kami he had in his career all these years was trp success and he is finally getting it no matter how crap his role is. I think somewhere those high trps and top 5 position is motivating him to do the show.

There are hollywood actors who have talked about the roles they do to pay the bills and the roles they do to satisfy artistic urges. Might be something similar here.
(I watched HC in Humsafars and Bepannah after the shows finished their tv runs but I was surprised to learn through this forum that both were canceled due to low TRPs. Despite some unevenness both were better shows than this season of YRKKH by far)

I watched only bepannaah and it was a watchable show for first few months but the makers and channel messed up everything. The channel never started the episodes on time and kept on changing the time slots and the makers showed everything except utilizing the lead pair's chemistry. Still HC gained lot of awards and appreciation even though the show was big flop. This show is giving him everything which bepannaah couldn't give him so yeah as long as it benefits his career he should continue doing this show.

Kis desh had great trps for a large part of the 2 years it was on air. It made him a household name and he was a superstar when it aired. People used to go crazy for that show even several years after it ended, and spammed Ekta Kapoor and Star Plus so much that she got very irritated and vowed never to cast Harshad and Aditi (his Kis desh costar) again 🤣 And his death and returning-from-the-dead track was insanely popular in Kis desh. 😆 And then Tere Liye was the No. 1 in trps throughout its run and it was a HUGE record breaking success across all channels.

Even Dharampatni had high trps when it started, though it declined after around 3 months and the show shut shop after around 8 months. Saubhagyavati bhava was doing quite well too, and was the trp topper on that channel. Only Humsafars and Bepannaah did not get trps.

Aaj kal these chote chote nibbas nibbis who were babies and toddlers during the late 00s and early 10s judge him and call him flop actor just because his shows didn't do well last few years. He needed one high trp show since a long time and I am glad he finally got one. He actually did bolti bandh of lot of his sm haters with this show.

And he's become too selective in doing shows. He was missing on screen for 3 whole years between Humsafars and Bepannaah, and again for 3 years between Bepannaah and yrkkh. Many projects in between were either shelved or did not take off. His film called 2016 The End couldn't get released properly due to demonetisation in 2016. He needed a hit show and in that way, good that he's here now.

Bass corona should subside and not cause more disruption. It's caused enough damage in the world already 😒

Any thoughts on why Sushant was the one who made the leap to Bollywood (after this show?) and Harshad couldn't? Personally I find Harshad both better looking and a better actor.

(Additi is in Dhadkan Zindagi ki - watched a few episodes, I like her there. It's a totally different kind of show, much more restrained and character driven)

Actually HC’s character was supposed to be killed off and SSR was supposed to be made to be the ML. They even made HC turn into chicken tandoori and killed him off but the fangirls harassed EK and the writers so much they had to bring him back and later she made SSR male lead of Pavitra Rishta.

but she cut the budget of Kis Desh hence the cardboard moon 😭
