Maybe due to OTT vs jungle gang? They were sort of in opposing teams from the start and Karan would manipulate Shamita to help them (i think where she angrily gave them the key or smth?).

They never really got a chance to be on the same team. If the divide wasn't there, i think the two would have been able to collaborate with no conflicting interests.

I was wondering suddenly why Nishant who really hasn’t been playing his top game like in OTT had become a kaanta in certain eyes then I remembered his connection GeetaMa is now the villain so target on show becomes Nishant.

anyway, nishant has always been clear with his outside friends who he knows for years that friendship goes on one side and game on another.
he said that to Raqesh in OTT as well and he knew Raqesh for 10 years.

So yeah, all’s fair in love and war.

But it seems like kundra really holds grudges and is not that strategic. His love lapata has ruined his character. Despite this he is still hanging on to his suffocating love lapata. So better for Nishant to stay away.

Perhaps it suggests past history where kundra didn’t listen to friends or family over similar love lapata and lost his support system in the process that’s why Nishu is staying away now.
