@Green Karan was the one who on his own come to terrace and ask Sanju what her problem, even when her problem is not affecting her work, still that affected Karan. It was for Sanju he said for the first time to Sid, if he won't stop himself he will end up taking Sid's life, and that too for just proposing her. He not only put Sid in the jail but also make Sid starved, just for Sanju who is very well capable of handling Sid. He went to that extreme just for her. If he isn't physically comfortable with other, then he wouldn't have hold Sanju's hands and had not given her the needed strength & confidence both by his words and touch to make her realise who she really is. He listened her whole thing with attention & without interruption, Monu ke important baatein ko sunte waqt toh Karan inte shaanti se kabhi nahi sunta, his mind is always somewhere occupied with his own opinions.
(Tab Sid Monu se bhi engaged tha in Karan's eyes. And Karan even reprimanded her 'tum bevkoof ho, coz tum jaisi bevkoof hi uss good for nothing se engagement kar sakti hai'
Karan ko Sanj ne bhi bola tha 'Sid Monu se engaged hokar bhi mujhe date par bula raha hai' she felt disgusted by this.
Handshake, hand support ke liye dena etc., and being physically close & comfortable mein difference hota hai.
He supports Sanj, guides, encourages her, reminds her of her strength, also of being there for her if she needs. All this comes under concern, or even care.
When Sanj was going for date & comes to check-on Sid in dispensary after getting ready, Karan compliments her with that fab wala hand gesture, how easy it was for him to say that she looked good.
But when it comes to Monami he gets tongue tied, mesmerised yet at loss of words.
Even if we agree that it was attraction, but in Karan's case thats truth he was attracted & intrigued by Monami first. All other emotions came later on.
Monu ki baatein long & gol-gol hoti thi from Karan's pov, she used to get confused & lost, logicless, ofcourse because her pov is mostly from emotional side unlike Karan's.)
@Brown If Karan has not given any importance to feelings, toh woh kabhi khud apne aap se Sanju se uski problem ka reason puchne ya uske frustation ko kam karne uske paas nahi jata. Karan, Bala ki story sunke usse dusra mauka nahi deta balki usse jail bhejwa deta. Aisa hota toh Karan kabhi Koel ki khamoshi ki respect nahi karta, balki uski khamoshi ke peeche ki wajah jaane ki khud koshish karta. If he could see and understand other's feelings on his own in all above cases, then woh apni feelings bhi Monami ke liye khud realise kar sakta tha, uska apna perspective ho sakta tha, if makers really wanted to show that. Karan's character really doesn't need any other person to introspect what he feels for someone.
Makers can show his guilty feelings with the 'Naina' song playing in the background(kya hi tha woh), they can show his handkerchief back to Monami which she had already returned to him, they can change his red hoodie from without chaim to having chain but they can't show his perspective for love realisation...Ek Dam Gazab hain..
(Karan has not given importance to his feelings was the argument. Guilt, concern, responsibility n all is fine, woh bhi thoda bahut when he sees other person in pain or hurt, specially because of him. But actually feeling from heart, he never gave importance, the love, care part.
And all this was quite evident in the hospital track also, where he was punishing himself coz logic said that Monu left academy because of him so he had to be punished.
Props toh change hote rehte hai over the time as per the actors comfort, script demand etc. So no big deal if without zipper wali hoodie becomes one with zipper, or Monu has the handkerchief yet she returned it.
Its fiction afterall, we are seeing part of their lives, some scenes of that as a story. Ab har cheez toh nahi dikhayenge na, aise toh bol sakte hai ki ye washroom gaye bina ready kaise ho gayi, ya sote hue nahi dikhaya fir bhi next day kaise dikha diya.)
@Violet I have watched all episodes till 31st Dec, and watched it with paying more attention to every dialogues, since the time Monu's love phase has started. I have an idea where you have got that glimpses of his perspective for Monu, but if one consider all things in detail happened there, then even that glimpse can't be considered as a solid point from his perspective what he felt for her before his love realisation.
(solid pov dikha dete toh woh out of character ho jata, they had to maintain that Karan might have feelings or does feel sometimes. Itna clear cut kaise dikhate, fir lagta banda pyaar mein hai, aag dono taraf barabar lagi hai, par rok leta hai khud ko, track woh nahi tha, that Karan might have feelings but isn't ready to accept, track tha that Karan doesn't allow himself to feel anything for anyone, and he doesn't even want to but still falls for Monu inspite of all barriers he tries to build, because he just couldn't help it.)
▶️ People can think that in diwali episode Karan turned back to close the door after not founding Monami on opening the door and not to again enter the room, but agar itna hi Karan ke aadat hoti darwaza band kar ke jaane ki to Monami 3baar uske room aise hi ghus nahi jati, 1st to check his room when she is about to read the diary, 2nd to find the attacker when KaiZi were asleep and 3rd ofcourse how one can forget soye hua insaan ko jaga kar propose karne wala scene.
▶️Next set of people come and say during Koel track, in the restaurant Karan was jealous that's why he came back and asked Monami for dance when he saw someone else asking her for it. But if he was actually jealous, toh dance karte waqt bhi dhyaan ussi pe rehta, even after partners getting exchanged, but nope, sirf Monami usse baar-baar dekh rahi thi dusre partners ke saath dance karte huye, and he was just dancing with all jo bhi partner aate ja rahi thi.Even when he is going to partner up with Koel, but she left the place, tab bhi Karan ka dhyaan Monami pe nahi tha, he was looking for his next partner for dance.
(He never wanted to feel anything for anybody & the poor soul even tried his best, but still couldn't stop himself and thats the beauty of their love story, as someone pointed out on AT last night 'she fell faster, he fell harder'. For me this sums up their story)

@SeaGreen After Monu's confession, they have showed everyone making Karan feel that he did a big wrong by rejecting (their concern was not that Karan was wrong in rejecting her, their issue was him being wrong in not accepting his feelings, keeping his heart cold & shut, even if it had already started feeling for Monami, so Faizi as a friend was concerned ki let love enyer your life & stop punishing yourself & pushing people away specially those who love you) her whether it was Faizi or Monami, all by their words, actions or behaviour. They showed both Faizi and Monami lecturing Karan that he loves Monami, referring to it again and again not once but twice or thrice, every now and then, alternatively. When Karan really needs a person to listen & understand him with clear mind, then he has no one beside him, he has someone like Faizi jo Karan ke baat sunna ya samjhane se zyada Karan par apni soch thopna chahta tha, which Karan never did when he guided & supported Sanju. (Karan n Faizi ke temperaments hi bilkul different hai, he is all logic, brain oriented, Faizi is mature, emotional to an extent. Karan action-oriented man hai, he does what needs to be done, as in taking actions, he thought Sanj needed a friend to share so he went & spoke & encouraged her, he thought that Monu needs to cheer up coz he sunaoed her so he sang song to uplift everyone's mood, he doesn’t ghuso in anyone's life, but Faizi does & he lets him, there was 1 more incidence when Faizi says I think regarding Param's bday 'aise shell mein rehna theek nahi, you should try to come out of it' to which Karan replies 'I am trying', so he knows Faizi is right or listens to him, gives importance to his views, suggestions) Then they showed Monami leaving the academy, her accident where she could have died also, that again leads to Karan making feel more guilty, ultimately making him reveal his past before her, which he never wanted to share with anyone not even his close friend, which he never had any plan to tell Monami earlier but her irresponsible act pushed him to that limit because the accident could have cost her life.(In Monami's defence, she really tried, they both might have made mistake of not giving each other space, and both could have been justified from their povs, so both could have not understood each other's pov. Karan was guilty only, he seemed affected, concerned, restless. Also when you reject someone, ofcourse you feel bad but not same as the one being rejected, the pain can no way be equal. And we all saw Karan being extra touchy-feely with her after her confession, that mess scene of pulling ouy feather from her hair with Nikhil in bg. We can't ignore some incidences & take into account others, sab count karna padega to build a perspective)
After explaining & clearing everything, again what they showed Faizi taking (this can be assumption too, kya pata dono walk par gaye ho, ya just to change mood Karan le kar gaya ho) Karan to some place asking him to close his eyes and see whose face he see. (Yes because he believed that rejecting Monami is hurting Karan) Karan ko toh Monami jitna bhi waqt nahi mila ki woh uss rejection phase se bahar aa sake.(Karan ne reject kiya tha not Monami, fir usko hurt kyun, ya guilt hai for rejecting her, par kyun if one doesn't feel anything for anyone toh isme kya problem, its good infact that youvtell that person to not have hopes & expectations coz you don't reciprocate the feelings, maan lete hai Karan cares for her & usko reject kar ke he is feeling bad, toh woh feeling chali jayegi na in sometime, why do you need to give explanation when you don't feel, koi zabardasti thode na hai ki someone loves you so you need to love them back) Agar aapko lagta hain Monami ko rejection ke baad sambhalne ke liye waqt ki zarurat thi toh, same case with Karan too, usse bhi waqt ki zarurat thi iss phase se bahar aane ke liye that he didn't do anything wrong with her, if Karan was wrong in approaching Monami, the next day after the rejection, then Faizi was more wrong then Karan. Yeh bada sahi hain

Earlier too it happened, when Monami misunderstood Karan and wanted to say sorry to him, but Karan was not in a mood to listen her, and woh ad gayi thi Karan ko sorry bole bagair nahi jaayegi hospital se, toh bhi birdland wale people(tt par toh bahut kuchh chalta hai, no point discussing it here, wahan they make mountain out of mole hills)ke liye Karan hi galat tha aur Monami sahi and now when Karan wanted to say sorry and explain things to Monami, even when he was not wrong in rejecting the proposal then also for viewers Karan was only wrong, Matlab kuch karo, na karo, par galat Karan hi hain.
Yeah in some previous post someone had pointed out about Karan's manners, so let me point out some manners of her also.One should learn from Monami how to talk to your seniors when they tried to make you understand that you did something wrong(slapping the boy by Monu during picnic), how to read other's personal diary in his/her absence, how to sneak into your senior's room at night just to take back your thing. Please yeh manners Monu se mat sikheyega😆
(Manners ki baat toh na hi kare toh better hoga, what Karan has done to SidMi in initial episodes, putting Sid in jail, no food, being extra strict towards Monu, all because he was driven by his prejudice for rich people, woh bhi bahut unmannered & ruthless ki category mein jayega. But they had to show him flawed so that they could show his character's growth, so ofcourse fiction ke naam par accept kar liya sabne. Else Sha himself accepted in an interview that 'irl its not possible coz aise main iske saath behave karta toh ye ab tak mujhe chapedh laga chuki hoti'.
Atleast Monu ke actions & so called manners didn't have such grave consequences like Karan's had.)
@Orange Kabhi na kabhi har character aapko show mein out of character behave kar raha hain aise lagta hain, so if they shown it, bhale hi woh out of character lagta but that gives a clarity from his perspective what he actually felt for her.
(but ekdum se nahi dikha sakte na, you have to justify that else audience won't accept, like many have not been able to accept Karan's realisation with just 1 chandelier accident. Build-up hoga na character growth or some outside incidences which trigger the change in the character's behavior, attitude, like they did in 31st party, Aneesh ka aana triggers jealousy in Karan & fear of losing her during the chandelier accident already made him realize & accept his feelings. Toh justify hua na Karan ka yeh loveria.)
