It striked me today while watching the show. My dad was like - She's giving him false hope. She's leading him on. If she wanted nothing to do with him whether he lives or die should not matter. Why brought him home with her?
And I thought, that's true. Bringing him home is crossing a line. She could have left him in another rehab or his own home and visited every now and then. But it didn't happen.
V has been manipulating her since day 1.
- if you say I will leave the job.
- immediately after the news of her father's death, he didn't comfort her for her loss. Instead he used it to proclaim his love.
- he constantly makes her feel she's wrong. She's not wrong to show humanity. She's not wrong to trying to save his job. Doesn't matter if it's cause he's the ex and she still has feelings. She knew him, pretty sure she will give same pass for abhay sia piroz Ansari or pc too.
- he always tells her he loves her and "mujhe tum chahiye", "tum pas raho main thik ho jaunga". Those aren't because he's detoxing and he's not in his senses. He is making her feel uncomfortable and he pretends as if her denial is making him feel bad. As a doctor he knows another human being isn't a medicine to fix a patient. She has every right to not reciprocate the same for him. Since day 1 she has told him she's over him, he should focus on his wife and have kids, etc. She told over and over again but he don't listen, he tells that he loves her, don't acknowledge that it's cheating on his wife and don't take her concern seriously. He has no plan to divorce his wife or seriously commit to D if it happens. He just wants her and that's it.
- today also D said "I will tell your wife" and he used the opportunity to make her feel guilty. "Kya kahogi tum, uska pati apni ex se pyar karta hai?" It's not even her problem, it's his fault and he should be held accountable for not being faithful to his wife. But he pretended as if it's her fault. That him having feelings is her mistake. Her face dropped with the expression of guilt, she played right into his traps.
- he has been making her feel guilt since day 1. I married because you left me. I am unhappy because of you. I started doing drugs because of you. I am now going to lose job because of you. Till a point D pushed back, said it's not her fault. I think after the father's death news and the way he made his way, she started to think maybe it's actually her fault. Her father chose death and her mother chose not to inform, so maybe V did have a point. Even though she isn't having affair or not feeling the same, she feels responsible for him. At this point she wants him to be better so that she can feel better, be free of guilt. All she wants him is to leave - leave her home, the hospital, the city. She wants to be away from the manipulator. If she wanted him back, she would have done more. Be extra nice, have softness in eyes, won't want him to leave. All I see is guilt, because she's lying and not because this is an emotional affair.
I am not sure what D will do next. Going by Abhays parents past, aditi /V/D is a similar love triangle. I hope unlike vinayak, V don't go with the other woman. And maybe if Abhay asks her if she's having an affair, she does self reflection and takes herself away from the situation. Guilt aside, lying to another person's wife, giving the hint that she's having affair with a married man is wrong.
