WOW! You got SOOOOO many things wrong about her!! Her smiling coyly, was because she was amused seeing the couple’s interactions!! She never said, their correct diagnoses made them a good couple.. but the way he supported his gf and understood her, made her say that!!

She REPEATEDLY told him to go back to his wife and to Delhi, but she saw how irrationally and it erratically he behaved and how his sister showed no support to her or him, and she clearly said she isn’t going to let his family know.. she then decided to help him out her way. And you feel sorry for his wife?? You are behaving as if they both are having an affair It’s not her place to tell on him, it’s his job to get his life in order!! She isn’t sleeping with him or having an affair so no need for her to feel guilty! She isn’t doing injustice to his wife! Not telling PC isn’t protecting him, but protecting his career as she knows he is a good surgeon!

Honestly, to understand a story, a character, you need to understand the complexities of the human mind and their emotions! Everything isn’t done black and white!

If this show isn’t your cup of tea then don’t watch it.. but don’t accuse Deepika of doing wrong to his wife or family!

Secondly, yeah that's screwed up. Not informing PC, not informing the family, that's super screwed up. But, it's not wrong of her to dream to be with Vikrant. She knows it's wrong anyway, but she still feels what she feels. It's probably high time we see our female leads that aren't perfect. While we are able to accept Vikrant (who's the pseudo male counterpart here), who's screwed up and wants to cheat on his wife, we are yet to accept Deepika with her faults. People do cheat. They aren't necessarily bad people, but people with great weaknesses. I want them to show her faltering and learning from it. And from what I understand, Deepika has been alone for a decade - no family, no friends, she's got absolutely no one. In her place, when no one cares about her, except for the doctor she is, interacting with someone who constantly expresses how she's important to him, can mess up with one's psyche. It's actually a little sad - her family has deserted her, her juniors etc. Are just juniors. So to falter in such a place, is not unusual. Wrong, but not shocking.

I hope they show the guilt and regret that comes along with traversing a tricky journey like this.

Thanks for showing me a new side to this scenario....I agree with you...she hasn't had support and affection from loved ones in the last 10 years and this constant expression of love from Vikrant can indeed throw one off who has been yearning for some acceptance. This isn't about male or female flawed character for me (My reaction to Vikrant's behaviour is equally furious) but I totally get your point on the dream, we all have our weak moments and now that I think of it, its quite brave for the makers to show this side of Deepika (if there is a future redemption track planned).

Yes I do remember her reaction to Abhay and Sia's equation, but there was a difference there. She was a mere spectator who appreciated the healthiness, this reaction was different (one where you are actively mirroring you and someone else in that exact same situation). But with the above perspective you presented that also makes sense. When you emotionally vulnerable, you do react differently to the same situation.

Hi there, I unfortunately don't concur with your opinions, this could probably be my inability to decipher human emotions the way you do (Something I am not apologetic about). My reason to join this forum was to express my opinions freely and have a healthy discussion with others equally passionate about this show. I appreciate the way you potrayed. And i agree with you. Human beings are flawed and layered. This layers make a person different from one to the other.
