Yeah, they both did not have an impactful role. The only portions were when Shahid was facing Ranveer or the ending scene which was well done by DP....but that's it. Ranveer's role was everything in the film.

Objectively the only beauties in BW are Sonali/Aish, the rest manage to scrub up well with makeup on occasions.

That is because of the controversy and attack on him and also because the king did lose in real life and was unable to save his wife or kingdom which is why his wife and other women committed Jauhar to avoid being captured alive and enslaved.

That is a sensitive and painful part of history which Karni Sena and so called caste pride outfits did not want to be shown elaborately onscreen.

Here my comparison was only in this film and the characters. DP is anyday more good looking than ARH and that makes it more unfair.

Why didn't Mehrunnisa have a unibrow like Padmavati if that was the norm then?

Padmavati is shown with a unibrow because Jayasi's original poem Padmavat describes the queen as having eyebrows like a bow.

Now a bow like shape of eyebrows is not possible unless it is a unibrow.

So to make Deepika look like the description of beauty of the queen in the original epic poem, Bhansali gave her a unibrow look.

Bhansali tried to be as authentic for the original poem as he could.
