All rapid antigen tests are sold out nation wide and Covid testing clinics have a 2-3 hour queue lined up.

I was even told that a nursing home worker had tested positive but was asymptomatic. Her work asked her to still come in because there was no staff. I was shocked to hear about it.

Hey Girl,

I also live in Sydney and can't believe we reached 35k just yesterday we think this is worse but the coming months will be the biggest struggle now unfortunately! I feel for you and all the other heathcare workers atm..I heard about the nurses being positive and still having to work which is so appalling.

Been driving past testing clinics and the queues are never ending..getting to know that the wait times are increasing to 6 hours now and people are being turned away as they close at 12 or 1pm now. They were saying something like 1 in 5 are now testing positive 😒

After toilet paper it's the rapid antigen tests getting sold out now everything is so crazy here now.

Stay safe

Sending you a big hug 🤗

Whats the point of the humongous taxes we pay in Au if we can't have the govt provide RATs like the U.K and the U.S- I mean the priorities of this govt are so skewed it's not even funny.

They knew the numbers would skyrocket with both Omicron and opening up yet they had zero plans to deal with both the increased testing requirements and the increased numbers who would go to hospitals.

The waiting time in the ed I worked in yesterday evening was 7 hrs ,there were chairs being out in corridors to to try and segregate the probable covid positives from the non covids, there were admitted patients sitting in chairs for more than 24 hrs in the waiting room.We have no space or staff anymore to run hospitals safely.

Hello 🤗

It’s totally and beyond fucked. Like you, I’m also missing Gladys. She was mocked and trolled, but jokes on us. She was the only one in parliament that had her head screwed on straight.

OMG 7 hours? I saw on the news that hospitals were urging patients to only attend the ED if it’s critical. Patients here are coming for the smallest of issues. Now that telehealth is available, it’s doing my head in that patients with Covid symptoms are still trying to see the doctor face-to-face. One patient came in today and I asked him if he had a sore throat, fever, cough or runny nose and he said no but his tonsils hurt + no covid test done. 🙃🙃 My eye was twitching at this point.

Heya love 🤗

Wow two Aussies found in IF. Such a small world. It is appalling isn’t it? I was so shocked that a nursing home staff was asked the work despite being Covid positive. The elderly are the most vulnerable, so it’s beyond my understanding how on earth the facility thinks it’s appropriate to take such an appalling risk.

At this point everyone should treat any symptoms as if it were Covid and stay home! There’s so many people wandering around with symptoms, just because nobody can find rapid antigen tests or a testing clinic. Even if you haven’t any proof that you have Covid, at least stay home until you’ve recovered. Don’t even get me started on the dumbasses who have symptoms but claim they don’t have Covid because they’re vaccinated. 🥲

I live in Mumbai where it's spreading like crazy. My entire family is down with the virus after having managed to avoid it for almost 2 years. My building reports at least 3 cases a day. Rapid Antigen Tests get sold out very quickly here too, but we managed to book a home testing service.

What the govt should have done is open up some pop up clinics just to deal with the walking worried with covid patients separate from the regular gp clinics so our ed's wouldn't get clogged up and our regular g.p clinics would be safe.

Anyway, whats done is done, lets hope we get through this with our health and sanity intact.

The good news with Omicron is that from what I have seen so far if you are vaccinated you are less likely to have serious illness compared to delta.

This

The only way to fight is get vaccinated, try to be fit and for added protection wear a N95 masks , other cotton clothes designer masks don't work.

No other measures work.
