ARUNITA KANJILAL AT #10 (strictly for only Arunita fans) - Page 110

Last night I watched some episodes of Saregamapa Bengali and I listened to 4 songs of Arunita. Ep 29, she sang Nishi din in Bengali (Nis din, Nis din in hindi) - heard it after 4/5 yrs. Second was - Bhore bhaye panghat pe, Ep 83 (another one from SSS movie), this I heard for the first time - she sang both these songs like an experienced, adult, well trained singer, in her beautiful voice (and she was just 10 then).Third was a combo Bindiya chamkegi and Na lada na lada tu ankh na lada, Ep 80 - she was absolutely fantastic, especially in the second song, with lot of voice modulation. And ofcourse all 4 judges ( Kumar Sanu, Akriti, Kaushiki and Joy) were heaping praises for all these performances, and I loved all of them. Fourth was Lag ja gale, Ep 82, the judges were little critical here, and it's a very difficult song to sing, especially for a 10 year old kid- Arunita sang it best in her latest version - she got the emotions right, ( I think for the first time) - but she needs to practice it a little more - (get all the vibratos right) and to make it perfect.

Yes, loved, loved, loved all the above episodes. As i have said before, loved this show because of the esteemed judges and yes obviously Aru - they heaped praises as well were critical. At the age of 10, she sung all different types of songs with amazing maturity. I believe she got critical feedback for only 2 performances, the rest of the times were just appreciation for her performance. Lot of the other performers got lot more critical feedback.

Since you already got to83, suggest if I may, please listen to 84(Ab ke Sajan, last performance of this episode) and finale85(Bhare Naina, start33:20 and Ami Je Jalsa Ghare start2:10:40). She stamped her class and heralded the arrival of one of the finest singers!!

Ashaji's comments after her Ami Je..performance was heart touching and very proud moment for an ardent fan!

When will Arunita's Sony contract expire? It's been sometime since her last song released. Maybe her second single would have done better if it was released around this time.

It will expire after 2 years from signing. Presumably they signed in June/July 2021. So two years from then.
