The things Karan says on camera sound WRONG ..no doubt about that.. Saying '' tu meri GF hai ..mujhe support kar'' is wrong but how is it any different from Teja saying '' agar mein jeet rahi thi tu khush nahi tha?? meaning she wants him to be happy for her BECAUSE he is her BF.. that is also an expectation she has from him right? then why is him expecting her to ''unconditionally'' support him wrong? yes the choice of words is definitely wrong because he is an idiot and she is smart..but the context in my opinion is the same.. Had she been the sanchalak her instinct would've been to support Pratik over Shamita.. just like his was to support Shamita over Pratik.. How is one wrong and the other right?
