Hope this serial dont disappoint us coz kashi is interesting character.

But who knows it's always TRP games for channels and that's why they ruin the shows by forcing makers to introduce certain stupid tracks or unwanted leaps or they axe the show.

Well I never watched the Peshwa show except in bits but I heard post leap they reversed most of things which infuriated the audiences/fans.

Even I love the sets, performances , bg scores for every character and the characterisation of the characters. I do understand as an older fan of similar show you get attached to old faces but I am happy you're giving new Baji a chance🤗.

Well many portals infact wiki has reported Bhavanibai as Kashi's mother but who knows it can be easily manipulated by anyone. Also,it leaves a question if Kashi's father had two wives,i.e, she herself had two mothers then why it was tough for her to accept Baji's other wife!? Weird ehh!? About Kashi-Baji's bickering equation or the enemity shown between them is a complete false creative liberty taken by makers just to show a proper buildup of their bond, they had in childhood. So,later when Mastani comes in triangle love equation between Baji & Kashi it would be even more heart wrenching for viewers to witness it & imagine or connect to Kashi's feelings at the point of time.

Honestly,I feel Baji loved both Kashi & Mastani equally and the stuffs which is shown in serials,movies or novels that Kashi was more of his responsibility because it was a prearranged marriage during his childhood when he had no idea about marriage or wife is pretty dumb. Baji-Mastani love is overrated & over hyped just because that story created more controversy so the respective authors used their imaginations & creativity to pen down their great love story and make it even more greater by painting it how bad the society was .

Even the movie adaption of the saga,PC as Kashibai ruled the movie than DP and RS for me🤣.

As the show is more from Kashibai's POV we can see a stronger Kashi with more integrity in her character.❤️

Hey Mahi, glad to meet you too 🤗 The old show appealed a lot to the audience coz of the actors pre leap. Rudra as Baji and Anuja Sathe as Radhabai and Manish Wadhwa as Balaji stole the show. The show was presented well but the scale on this show impresses me more. Makers of Kashi have done a better job here. Also in the older show what might have appealed to the audience were that all characters are pleasant and idealistic and this is in tune with viewers expectations. People gravitate towards shows that present lead characters as selfless and ideal in every sense. Radhabai in that show pre leap was a woman who was ideal, compassionate and giving which was not the case in reality. A woman like that cannot be shown as ruthless later on. When the leap happened, they replaced her with another actress who was good but audience could not relate to her character. They were used to seeing a warm hearted woman before, so the change did not go down well with them. The actors chosen post leap were excellent choices as well but makers were in a hurry to turn it into a love story and cash on it. So they tried to show Kashi in a poor light and glorified Mastani. Funny thing is Mastani is a decade younger than Baji and just a few years older than Nana Saheb in reality but they showed Mastani to be of the same age as Kashi to show her story in parallel and viewers were sick of it. Post leap turned into a joke. Pre leap there were a lot of background actors and it felt right coz a Peshwa's house will be filled with people but post leap there were hardly any and it made it feel like you were watching a play and not a TV show. The makers realised they failed miserably and the show wrapped up in a matter of days. In fact the so called Bajirao Mastani track was over in two 40 min episodes 🤣 I felt sad for the lead actor Karan Suchak who is really good. He trained so hard and even went bald for this role.

Bhavanibai? I just checked it and it says Shiubai. Even in PB, they showed just Shiubai. I donno from where Bhavanibai came into picture. And even in that show, Kashi had only one brother - Krishnarao. Here she has Rama and Bala. There is no mention of these two anywhere. Initially I did not appreciate SLB's take on BM but now that I think of it, he did complete justice. He glorified Baji Mastani coz lets face it - their forbidden love will be remembered in history whether we feel it is right or not. But he also showed Baji feeling guilty for betraying Kashi. He might have preferred Mastani over Kashi but he had a lot of respect for Kashi and he loved her in his way. I wish the show is able to justify the complex bond Baji had with both women. Mastani may have been the other woman but it will be horrible to show her as a vamp just coz the show is about Kashi. I want to see how the show will balance this triangle. Waiting eagerly for it.

I am a hardcore DeepVeer fan and wanted to watch the movie just for them. Prior to watching this movie I didn like PC. So the last thing I expected was to fall in love with a character portrayed by an actor I didn like much back then and that too a supporting one. But I liked the movie more for PC and Kashi 🤣 the quiet dignity with which PC portrayed Kashi will always be one of her best performances.

Coming to ITV I am sceptical of giving any show a chance now coz all the shows I have loved in the past few years have been ruined badly but watching this show with an open mind till the time they decide to ruin it for TRP sake.

Till now I liked the Kashi characterization. I liked the music of the show a lot. Really the music is beautiful.

And so love that child actress playing Kashi.

I am scared that this show will just get ruined for TRP so not investing my heart.. many historical fictions ITV series have been ruined because of that.

I see the signs of TRPs interfering already by stretching the wedding arc. And Balarao (Kashi's brother being in the opposition) 2 wives for Mahadji. Scheming to stop the marriage and the marriage has two opposing rulers as guests(Shahu Maraj and Tara Rani Saheb).

I can get on board with showing Radhabai in a polically ambitious person. And I am also OK with the fact that she is training Kashi in her own way. It does not seem vindictive but more in category of extra strict.

If this has a really fast leap then this will shut down fast.. is what I feel..

Mastani is said to be year older than Bajirao , mastani DOB is 29 aug 1699 as per Wikipedia , Bajirao DOB is 18 aug 1700 & kashi is 1703 born .

To be very true even historians don't have much info about mastani except basic knowledge .

Mastani in reality seems to be grey character , if u see in d movie Mastani seems to be pretty selfish character atleast to me she dint cared how her actions effects others initially Bajirao did tried to resist her , she was only focussing on her wish that she wanted to be with Peshwa what Peshwa wanted she care a damn she kept on pursuing him till she succeded .

Bajirao was not knowing about khandvivaah thing so she came to Pune on her own , she sensed radhabai blocking her way to Peshwa she see deewani mastani dance to inform Peshwa about her presence in Pune as he was unaware of it before that dance . Later she publicly declared her love for Peshwa in shahu Ji darbar giving a damn about peshwa's reputation . It's funny Peshwa was trying to get her respected even he was taunted by his rivals for it but mastani turned d taunts true by declaring her so called love even Peshwa & shahuji both were taken aback by her demand . It was a nonsense scene i mean she was so desperate for him. Her dialogue to kashibai " humara hath pakda par apka chhoda to nhi " matlab ye koi ehsaan tha kya kashibai pe . D lady care a damn about d pain kashibai was going through . Only scene mastani made sense was when after ragoba's birth she came to wish kashi & got taunted then she gave speech on religion & colour it was a good scene.

In movie Peshwa was shown guilty but still loving kashibai coz he was totally heartbroken when kashi asked him not visit her again , when he was leaving for his last war he did looked up to see kashi's balcony but dint found her so left teary eyed. Yes he fell 4 mastani but still longs for kashi .

In this serial thou currently Bajirao kashi keep ranting about enimity thing but they both care about each other specially baji . So they will definitely show baji craving for same attention & love from kashi .

In PB baji was too serious always in childhood he had silly banter with kashi but then later he did blamed kashi of not understanding him but infact it was he who actually never opened up that what exactly he was expecting from kashi & this relationship , he was forever cold with kashi , let bhiu insult kashibai many times still blame her in last for not trusting his so called invisible love & care . Yes kashibai was destroyed but baji was himself a worst husband to her . PB actually destroyed kashi baji relationship to no end .

I had the same doubt that Mastani was older than Baji (according to Wiki at least) But then we really don't have the correct DOBs(or any info) of Consorts. During old times the people in charge of records and all etc were not really interested in noting down things which were not official in nature.

If she was older than Baji then, she should have already been married. So I just gave up.

And coming to the SLB portrayal, Everyone felt the same, I guess.

Trust me girl I've been on the same boat since last 5 years. The moment they start ruing things I start getting detached💔.

No doubt DeepVeer has good chemistry but PC owned that movie for sure.

This sbow deserves a lot more Trp than it is getting but that Ghum Show eats up all the TRPs of this slot with stupid plotline.

Even If I feel if they bring leap quickly without any rise in TRPs they gonna ruin the show badly. Makers are doing great as well as actors only the channel should be blamed if anything goes haywire this time.😡
