His behaviour right now is wrong. But I don't think he's the kind who'll indulge in domestic violence.

As for emotional abuse, I think Akshara is doing that to him right now.

The fact is if Abhimanyu is this strong, straightforward, stubborn man - let him use his audacity where it matters. Go tell your family you'll marry when you damn well please and who you damn well please. He is even aware that his precious MAA will come around if he explains things to her. So do that then.
What's this bhav he's showing by bullying and dragging Akshara into a humiliating situation? It makes him look so so bad!

In one of the early episodes he told Kairav that he too had a sister and would therefore never do anything inappropriate towards Akshara? Would he tolerate someone behaving like this towards NIshtha?
(Hint: he'd be taking off his shirt and getting ready to dhulao the other party if that was the case)

He's already indulging in violence - what was that today? It's a logical extrapolation to make. And I don't think Akshara is emotionally abusing him. She made a decision for herself based on what she's considered best for her family and is standing by it. Maybe it's a shortsighted and silly decision but she has the right to make it.

Oh my God, don't make me defend Akshara... I find her to be a very MarySue character... but this kind of male bullying just makes my hackles rise

Hmm, extrapolating does seem to make domestic violence plausible, but I wish it doesn't go there. I agree 100% with the toxicity and physical assault part. No defending Abhi there at all. He's wrong to force her to accept her feelings. Period.

What I'm saying is that him being wrong doesn't justify what Akshara is doing.

If Akshara is standing by her decision, then why is she looking at him with longing always, hugging him in her senses 2 times, and having romantic dreams about him? She's lying to herself and pushing Arohi onto Abhi by lying when she clearly knows Abhi & Arohi can never be happy together. That's plain stupid of her. 😕

If she's made a decision, why not keep away from Abhi totally. Why not treat him like a proper jijaji. It's not like they have been in a relationship till now.

I agree that she's a goody two shoes Mary Sue. Becoming a very annoying goody two shoes who's so selfish and wants to give her favourite toy to her sister. 😳
