“Dynasty”
“Some days it's hard to see, If I was a fool, or you, a thief”
Imlie ran inside as fast as she can, she has to stop this at any cost the wedding; she had to try one last time, one last fight for the person she loves the most.
“Babusaheb” she screamed at the door way as she reached there at the nick of time as wedding was about to start.
She was huffing trying to breathe and inhale as much air as she can and holding the wall with other hand to steady her.
Everyone’s head turned to see her and so did Aditya abruptly stood up from his place at the mandap forgetting he was holding Malini’s hand and it fell from his lap to her side as she looked up to see him “Cold as always”
Imlie walked slowly towards the mandap taking small steps, her hair messed up, her face smudged with mud and fingers bruised but she didn’t care about any of those as all her focus was narrowed down to one person in the whole hall.
“Made it through the maze to find my one in a million”
She reached towards him and almost invaded his personal space “Why?” she asks her throat choking on tears.
Aditya scoffs “You are asking me why, you, you Imlie, you left me that is why” he says bitterly.
“So you’ll marry her again” she asks pointing towards Malini “Why didn’t you wait for me?”
Aditya scoffs again pointing finger at himself “I didn’t wait for you imlie, I waited, I chased you, heck on my wedding day I was waiting for you at Mandir and you are saying I didn’t wait for you, I waited and waited you moved on Imlie, you left me behind so why should I be waiting anymore?”
“And that’s it ” she said taking one more step towards him, “ that is it you waited for one month and that is it, is that all I worth in your life just bloody month…” She whisper yelled “Just one month, you loved me and I don’t even worth more than a month in your life…”
“You found new love…” Aditya said with pitiful look on his face “So why do you want to stop this wedding Imlie?”
“So what if I found new love which I haven’t but what if I had wasn’t I worth the fight Babusaheb, I fought a daily battle to be with you, a battle against my sister, English madam and your family, I was the maid of your house, I’m still fighting so why wouldn’t you fight for me?” She jabs finger at her chest “Why wouldn’t you try to win me back?”
Aditya stood silent both looking at each other with tear filled eyes and all the family along with guests watching them with batted breathe
“I did fight” Aditya tried to defend himself
“No you didn’t” She cuts him off “Not enough. You said I was being difficult, I kept on choosing you again and again and you loved me for once I choose myself and I’m the bad person, you don’t love me anymore, I don’t worth anything in your life ,you accused me of having an affair you are the great Patrikaar you should have known me better but you accused, you malign my character in front of the whole world and I don’t say a word still I’m the bad person” She pushes him back a little “Only you have right to be angry but anger is one thing Babusaheb why did you stoop so low?” she asks fisting his Sherwani.
“You are the one who sent the divorce papers Imlie, you wanted to get away from me” Aditya said holding onto her hand on his sherwani.
“I never sent anything, if I did why would I be the one signing it after you…” she says in a tired voice.
“And now you're just a page torn from the story I'm living”
“You should have told me…” he says meekly
“You never asked, you never believe me what would I be saying to the person who accused me before even asking me about anything?” She says taking a step back and drawing her hand out from under his lying on his chest.
“Imlie I have always loved you and still I do love you…” Aditya says with tears streaming down his face as he tries to reach for her hand again.
“But you don’t believe me, you are marrying her?” She says pointing towards Malini again taking one step back as he takes one forward.
“You know Imlie I have obligations, Malini is just a friend and the mother of my child I have some responsibilities towards her…” Aditya tried to reason with her again
“And all I gave you is gone, Tumbled like it was stone”
“And what about your responsibilities towards me, I was your wife, what about me, why is everything about you and her and your family, what about me my feelings…”She yells her chest heaving as she feels suffocated “You bring her back to fulfill your responsibility so that you don’t feel guilty and she feels happy but what about me my happiness, I was suffocated by her presence but did you care, did you even care to ask?” She draws her hand behind her back as he tries to reach for it again.
“The scar I can't reverse, when the more it heals the worse it hurts”
“Imlie trust me I do love you…”
“Choose…”she cuts him off wiping the unshed tear from her face “You choose today Babusaheb love or responsibility…” she says “me or her” she says pointing towards herself and then Malini and at the same time raising her hand for him to hold.
“Gave you every piece of me, no wonder it's missing”
Everyone’s eyes were on Him, his family, Malini’s, the English madam and most importantly Imlie’s, she was watching him with bated breath, hand raised in midair and eyes full of unshed tears and as he looks at her his eyes catches the reflection of him standing at the doorway in his usual stance and an unknown surge of disgust goes through him, his demons catching up to him, he doesn’t want to let go Imlie but what about his child, and what about the day he saw both of them together and since when did she learn to keep conditions. His Imlie was naïve and innocent, is she even the same person. Everything keeps coming back to him as he glances at him and then back at her
“Pyar mein Shartein nahi hoti Imlie…” He says
“It all fell down”
Her hand hanging in the midair falls to her side as she takes a step back and tumbles and with speed of lightening both men move to hold her but she steadies herself and held hand in front of Aditya to stop him. She looks up with all the unshed tears finally streaming down her face “I give up”
“Don't know how to be so close to someone so distant”
She didn’t realize if she told that to him or herself or everyone present in the hall as she said it out loud enough for everyone to hear but she keeps taking steps back moving away from him. If heartbreaks produced sounds everyone present around her would have been deaf. She felt as if he stabbed her in the heart and literally cut her heart into two. It was damn painful as she clutched her chest while moving back.
She wanted to scream and yell and defend herself, she had so much to say but was it worth it. She looked up to see him one last time in through the curtain of tears as she was crying profusely and then she closed her eyes wiped her face and turned away from him.
“It all fell down”
As she left the hall in trance passing by Aryan whose eyes never left her face, not even for second and as she leaves he follows her but stops and turn to stare at Aditya just for a moment with icy eyes. She has to go through the sheer pain to make her life stronger ahead but her pain and that too at the hands of him made him hate him to the core.
Aditya felt the same jab at his heart as he saw her leaving and before his resolve could break, he sees Aryan staring at him just for a moment with icy eyes and menacing look on his face, and then leaving behind her and that stopped him as the anger clouded his judgment once again "The Naya Ashiq " he thinks with resentment and then moves back and sits down bitterly at his place beside Malini and steeling his hearts says “Start the Mantar Pandit jee…”

“And all I gave you is gone”
Aryan ran behind her as he saw her walking in the middle of the road.
“Imlie…”he reached towards her and grabs her to him while bringing both of them to the side of the road “What the hell is wrong with you? Are you an idiot? Are you trying to get yourself killed for him?”
He screams in her face grabbing her by her shoulder and shaking as her as if to shake some sense into her.
“I had to try one last time…” She says while looking ahead as if in trance, tears still streaming down her face “I don’t go down without a fight, I had to fight one last fight for my love…” and then she looks up to him
“And I lost…”she says choking on her tears “I lost, you were right I was a dumb idiot, and I lost…” she wails “but I had to fight one last time…” She keeps mumbling
“Thought we built a dynasty forever couldn't break…”
“You fought for everyone Imlie, for him his family. you fought enough and now…” he says still grabbing onto to her steadying her “It’s time to fight for yourself…you understand. Tell me now you will fight for yourself Imlie… answer me?” he asks shaking her a little.
She nods her head looking at him whilst crying out loud one last time and keeps her head on his chest.
“It all fell down…”
