Yes she did want her as her DIL but she put that aside as soon as she realized she was married and in no state to consider another relationship. Yes, throughout the wedding she saw little glimpses of what could be between Arylie and how perfect they would be. But she would never put her own desires above those of the actual people in the situation. She wants what’s best for Imlie, even if that’s not her son.
