He started off as the reason for Aditya to go to the village and they have completely sidelined him. Imlie goes around solving problems but doesn't go for her Dad who was put there on false charges by Malini. It's like she forgave Malini for that and cares more for her "nasamajh" Aditya going for Malini. How does that make sense?

Really good point! I think its because all shows revolve around a ML and FL and their love story as if that is the biggest thing that can happen in ones life. I wish they would explore that part more...
