Nobody normal goes on their honeymoon to SA and if they do go, they stay within secure confines but if they have the knack to go see depressed areas and suffering people and they want to go slumming then they do it the proper way, YOU DO NOT wear your super diamond rings nor your rolex nor your Lv purse...I have done the favelas, the barrios, the ghettos and slums and we wear and act as locals, doing it the rich tourist way is like wearing a neon sign advertising you are easy prey... So is it plausible that you can get assaulted in SA Oh Yes! that is no lie, it is a crime infested hell hole in some areas. So this dude picked the perfect place if he had nefarious intentions and a lot does not add up. My first question to him would have been did she know that he wanted apples one day and bananas the next? and was she ok with it? If she along with the rest of his/her family had no clue of his preferences and he hid the fact that he was bi and on the hunt, from her then he IS a huge fraud and the percentage that he did arrange her murder is 99.99% . Too bad this person did not have the guts to simply live his life as he saw fit and had to drag this lady and her entire family down a dark sordid rabbit hole, NOBODY deserves what happened to her I would haul his bi-ass in jail and place a recording in an overhead speaker asking over and on loop for the next 70 years if he lives WHY? WHY? WHY?.

Everything point towards he did it and Court let him go because there weren't enough evidences. Its defendant lawyer job to find mistakes in witnesses statements to invalidate them and they were able to do it.

There's actually a four part documentary on Discovery+, in case you have a subscription, watch that instead. This is just a YouTube video dissecting the case.

Watched this long time back on tv, they did not make it sound like the husband was involved, plus many other crimes also happened to other people there

I remember when this was breaking news in 2010. It sounds ridiculous to say this but I am 100% sure the husband orchestrated the whole thing. He was in the closet. But as he's super duper rich, he can get away with it. Everything about it is sickening: from the internalised homophobia to the stinking system.

Isn't this an old case? Didn't her husband set it up and then go back to his gay lover?

watched the docu-series in one go. though an old case was curious to know more. Shrien Dewani (the husband) was visiting gay sites on the net (next day of Murder), while his father in law was waiting in the hotel lounge to meet him. after Shrien was acquitted of charges, he happily got a partner with whom he was visiting all the places he had been previously with his wife, remorselessly (within a few years). Certainly not Bi but surely he's Gay, which he hid from the girl. feel so bad for the girl's familyšŸ˜’

possibly the SA judge was suitably rewarded for acquitting himšŸ˜”
