Even if he does realize it and admits it to himself, he’s not the type to do anything about it until he’s sure that Imlie would be at a place to accept it, if that makes sense. He would want her to be able to make her own decision, not feel like she owed him something, or feel coerced into accepting him - especially after everything she’s gone through. And Imlie is far from there. I would like to think that he would never want his love to hurt her.

I do think though that Aryan won't be beyond pushing her if it reaches a point where he realizes she loves him too but she's just running scared. He'll push her if she needs it.

The beauty of the bolded is that Aryan and Imlie don't need to officially be a couple in order for them to be with one another. Even now, they show such solidarity - Imlie's finishing his 'teesri baat' and Aryan always hovering in case she needs him. Sure the decision to be in a relationship is important and it will come with time, but it makes no sense for either one to push it when there's no clear gain and only loss or pain associated with it.

Oh yes, I definitely agree about there being a limit to where he would push, but he’d do it in his own way. I was actually thinking about that and was reminded of Aditya in Bepannah. He didn’t start pushing it until he was at the point where he could see Zoya was walking into something that she shouldn’t because she was too afraid to admit she loved him. But he eventually had to back off and let her realize on her own.

The first part of your post. I love that show much. There’s so much emphasis on defining relationships. Why? I’ve been thinking a lot about the song Darmiyan. A few of the lyrics are very fitting. I think it’s beautiful seeing love grow between two people through the little moments, slowly over time. Through shared experiences, just facing life’s little things together, supporting when needed.

Back to the shaadi at hand 😆: I don't know how they are going to bring Imlie's marriage into the whole scenario?

- I'm thinking that maybe during the mehndi when the "A" makes an appearance on imlie's hand, it might tick AKT off and he would go on his rant that Arylie are doing all the rasam's and enjoying as if they are getting married. Then he will throw a tantrum like 2-year-old saying that I do not approve of her marriage happening before mine (😭MERI SHAADI PEHLE HONI CHAHIYE!!!), like it's some kind of race and he wants to beat her to the finish line 🤪.

OR

- Aryan-Imlie getting locked in the photobooth with the "Payal" making an appearance and a Jaaniyaa scene --> AKT spewing nonsense everywhere.

- What I am hoping should happen is Imlie not taking his nonsense any longer and giving "eet ka jawab pathar se" style. Every word should be so spot on that AKT and everyone is left speechless, Aryan all proud and not having to step in rescue her, and the Rathores also being sure proud of her.

With the completion of this entire mehndi-sangeet nonsense, I hope the T's finally realize what a D*** their son is and that Imlie has washed her hands clean of him and will not come back. 😎👍🏼

LOVE this song. Honestly, like a comment on there for the vid says - AryLie started satisfying without that overhanging essence of doom which I always felt with AdiLie BUT seeing Aditya … I can’t help but think of all the AdiLie moments beautifully brought to life by good cinematography. Putting aside the character, Gashmeer is a good actor, so while I’ll appreciate his efforts it doesn’t mean I need to blindly support his butchered onscreen character. Adi’s potential and essence has been squandered and too skewed to become satisfying even if he does see the light 🤷🏻‍♀️
