So, if he chooses to be with Malini when the cloud of her being his rapist is still up there then it is on him and his choice. Under all the misunderstanding, he could have chosen to divorce Imlie, and still keep Malini at his home as bache ki maa without marrying her, but he is choosing to go ahead with this marriage. Even Imlie reminded him about the rape during her “sorry Imlie” breakdown and still he is adamant about marrying Malini. At this point, only he can save himself. He is not thinking how Malini is step by step manipulating him, first she kept on harping about Aryan and Imlie, the moment he got divorce paper, she is fired from job and threatens to abort the baby as she has no husband, why is he not thinking that Malini was fired from job only now, when he received the divorce paper and his situation with Imlie had worsened.
And I am not really concerned about Adi marrying his rapist, because I am 99.99% sure the wedding won’t happen. And my strong feeling is that Adi himself will refuse to marry Malini without any PF, maybe the divorce paper misunderstandings would be cleared up or even without that.
Adi and Imlie might be on the outs for a bit because of Adi’s these actions and while makers will explore Arylie at the same time Adi’s redemption will start and Malini might spiral down after the wedding gets called off, and slowly by slowly Adi will start realizing all the truths. There has been too many foreshadowing about T and Adi asking Imlie to come back after they realize the truth and Imlie refusing to come back. As long as Adi is married to Malini, he will not be able to ask Imlie to come back, and another thing, most of the viewers are ready and willing to see Adilie remarriage or Arylie marriage/love track, but nobody (maybe 1% of the viewers) is willing to watch Adini married. Adini marriage is going to make them lose a lot of viewers, so don’t think they would take that big a risk. If Adini marriage happens, then it would be like the last nail on Adilie and it would be Arylie from then on🤷🏻♀️
@bold: No book, Adi ji isn't aware of his rape. That is why it is bothering me so much. Yes, he accepted the version of truth given by AC because it makes sense to him as MC has always been closest to him and been his confidant. Never once she gave him a reason to doubt her( character perception) AC accepting everything just cemented the narrative, as he is well aware of her character and the lows she can go to. This narrative just makes MC a victim like him. If we talk about the video then nowhere it shows that MC was not intoxicated, there were no drug tests, conducted or was shown in any of the episodes, so can't say about that and saree and dialect can be written off as kinky romance (mentioned in detail to libran earlier) this does not prove that MC raped Adi ji. Now, if MC is given the victim status by everyone that gives her straight choice to keep the child or not. Adi ji never got that choice. That again bugs me as every victim gets that choice. I don't think he preferred to believe MC or AC but yo believe the perception that he has of MC and AC. The narrative they gave perfectly matched with the perception that he has of them in his mind and video perfectly aligned with the their narrative of 'MC ka honeymoon' orchestrated solely by AC. Then MC constantly reminding him that she is the victim and JM night happened won't let him ever stand up straight in front of her( obviously past injustice just adds on to his guilt) It was unbelievable for him when Imlie showed him the video and did not align with his perception of MC and getting a solid narrative with his perception in order just made it easier for him to accept their truth over Imlie's. He is wrong in every other thing( and I will bash him to my heart's content) but not his rape, that is the only thing that does not allow me to stan their wedding.
I also feel that the guilt was gone because he now knows that union was not his mistake but AC's doing. MC too becomes a victim in his eyes as she too was intoxicated on the night. If we look from his half truth and perception and completely ignore the whole truth that Imlie and audience knows then. Adi ji and MC are victim of AC in front of all the characters and what happened on JM night was indeed a mistake and wrong doing of AC.
I am still of opinion that his redemption should be layered and should pay for all the injustice he did to Imlie. He has already has done more than what he was supposed to for his injustice towards MC. I don't mind his suffering while he is forced stay with MC due to the child but I do mind that he has to bear for MC's sins through his marriage with his rapist.
With you on everything else🤗 have the same pov. I too feel Adini wedding won't happen but just wanted to share my take on Adini wedding😃
