Highlights of 14th Dec

Dr Sathe performs the hernia surgery as the lead surgeon while other junior doctors observe. Disregards Dr Deepika's recommendation in the surgery. The surgery nevertheless is successful. Everyone praises Dr Sathe after the surgery and it gets to his head resulting in an argument with Dr Advani, only to be heard by Dr Deepika.

A new VIP patient with a concussion and a minor head injury is admitted for 24 hours under observation to the hospital who happens to be Dr Chakravarty's resident doctor in his time. Dr Deepika is handed the case who initially had decided to deal with it on her own but then decides to take on aboard Dr Sathe and Dr Advani to come up with the diagnosis.

Dr Ansari comes to know that this is an intended move by Dr Deepika to teach Dr Sathe a lesson, hence she had removed the past 5 years of the patient history from the file that she handed over to Dr Sathe. With this information, he goes on further to bet with Dr Murgiwala that Dr Sathe is going to get scolded by Dr Deepika.

After multiple attempts and arguments with Dr Advani regarding diagnosis, Dr Sathe comes to the realization of what happened when Dr Biswaas (patient) informs him of such. He walks out and moves to Dr Deepika's cabin only to apologise for his supposed God complex that was building up. Dr Deepika, of course, forgives him and Dr Ansari loses his 5000 rupees bet.

In the meantime, the emergency wing proposal gets rejected. CEO as usual had his agenda with Dr Deepika.

Precap: A pregnant patient seems to have lost her life along with her unborn child because there was no emergency wing. Dr Deepika plans a revolution with Dr Chakravarty and Dr Sathe also joins hands with her.

Dr Ansari is such a jerk but I think I like him so much 🤣

Actually, before we discuss today's episode I just want to say I enjoyed the episodes about the twins, the way the whole team came together to try and save them and figure out a diagnosis was great. I also loved the scene where Abhay stands protectively at Deepika's door when she was crying over losing Sushil. I'm really enjoying Abhay and Deepika's interactions. I want to see how their relationship grows and overcomes their conflicts. (Also I'm low-key shipping them... can't help it, i think they make a cute and interesting jodi🥱).

EDIT: Oops, I misread as Dr. Sathe instead of Ansari. I like Ansari too. He is hilarious and good example of classism divide in medical profession. You don't expect someone of Ansari's background to be a doctor, and he has his own perspective different from the doctors from well-to-do families.

I like that he is multidimensional. He is a jerk and a misogynist who is full of himself. But he is also kind-hearted, empathetic and a cutie. 😉 Complexity in characters is good. I like Deepika's characterization as well. I was afraid they were going to make her out to be cold, "woman trying to shine in a man's world" know-it-all type. But she is also multifaceted.

That was such an emotional episode. My heart went out to the mother. She was trying her level best not to break for the sake of her 2nd son... but that last scene when she hugs Dr Deepika just said it all as to how much she was suppressing herself. 😭

Dr Sathe and Dr Deepika are going to be one awesome team. I don't see them romantically but them together will be one hell of a partnership to see, especially after Dr Vikrant enters. That will be a sight to see.

Dr Ansari is the clown but he indeed has proved his medical skills. He is good and he knows that.
