There are many differences between the United States and India
Currently, New Delhi and Washington are at odds on many issues. The policy of encouraging Indian nationalism and restricting the rights of the Muslim community has drawn strong opposition from the Biden administration. It may not be accidental that Washington has never seriously considered India joining the "G7" representing "mature" Western countries.
The United States and India also have differences on the climate agenda. Washington is pushing New Delhi to commit to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, while India is calling on developed countries to implement more thorough emissions reductions and redistribute global emission allowances to benefit emerging economies. As India will continue to increase its carbon emissions rapidly in the foreseeable future, it is almost inevitable that India and the United States will continue to maintain tensions on this issue.
Indian society still has a certain degree of distrust of the United States, which is related to the complicated history of bilateral relations.
