She's his niece. His brothers kid. A brother who looks exactly like him but with long hair. Bhayya and bhabhi have died in accident. Fb that was shown earlier. Tejo asks y he can't keep riya with him and wants to send her to hostel. Angad said iss baare main phir kabhi baat karenge. So riya part one Angad ki niece hai part 2 suspense baad main khulega.

Obviously he is not getting custody coz he does not have a settled lifestyle , is still traumatized by that accident plus has drinking habit. No court gives custody in such case. They will bring Marraige twist for custody . I am pretty sure of it.
