But they did so AFTER the fact.
That they were able to spin it to their advantage doesn't change the fact RK did things in a way almost guaranteed to create trouble for his partner of the moment.
And yeah... when you live in a society where a woman is judged more harshly, then it's problem that he chose to do it. We don't live in a world where it is not a man-woman thing. There's no way he imagined he's living in an ideal society where genders are equal.
