90s was the last decade when music could make or break a film's fate at box office. Musically 90s is better IMO. Even B grade action films had some good songs that managed to stand out.
Post 2000 music was no longer a make or break factor for film to succeed at BO. It ceased to be that important in determining fate or memory of a film. Anyone could download music or view fav song online or get cds. They no longer showed up to watch films based on music.
Some post 2000 music is wannabe and cheap attempt to copy international music (like cheap attempts to copy western music in 80s).
90s is probably the last musically dominant decade. Nowadays not all films have good music, nor does music become a make or break factor in determining how memorable a film or star in a song will be or how a film will do at BO. Nowadays films with okayish or average music also do well at BO. In 90s it was not possible for a film to succeed if its music did not succeed.
i will choose variety over same pattern of hey hey la la songs that used to be made in 90's, Rehman music is exception else 90 was highly monotonous era for music the reason itself is the domination of Nadeem Shravan
