90s was the last decade when music could make or break a film's fate at box office. Musically 90s is better IMO. Even B grade action films had some good songs that managed to stand out.

Post 2000 music was no longer a make or break factor for film to succeed at BO. It ceased to be that important in determining fate or memory of a film. Anyone could download music or view fav song online or get cds. They no longer showed up to watch films based on music.

Some post 2000 music is wannabe and cheap attempt to copy international music (like cheap attempts to copy western music in 80s).

90s is probably the last musically dominant decade. Nowadays not all films have good music, nor does music become a make or break factor in determining how memorable a film or star in a song will be or how a film will do at BO. Nowadays films with okayish or average music also do well at BO. In 90s it was not possible for a film to succeed if its music did not succeed.

i will choose variety over same pattern of hey hey la la songs that used to be made in 90's, Rehman music is exception else 90 was highly monotonous era for music the reason itself is the domination of Nadeem Shravan

How can you ignore Viju Shah, Jatin Lalit, Uttam Singh, RD Burman, Annu Malik, AR Rahman, Sandeep Chowta, Ismail Darbar, Anand Milind etc who were going strong in 90s? Not all songs were Nadeem Shravan style only.

Criminal, Bombay, Vishwatma, Gupt, Mohra, Raja Hindustani, Ghulam, Border, DTPH, Baazigar, Rangeela, Dil Se, HDDCS, Khamoshi, Ghatak etc have different kind of music.

The peak was of Nadeem Sharavan... Anu malkk never got a peak like nadeem sharavan... And how does ismail darbar get ranked in 90s he only had one hit album that's it regarding him... Regarding jatin lalit... Yeah jatin lalit were unique but was not going as strong as nadeem sharavan.... Viju shah only 2 films gupt and mohra and that's all about him in 90s... Quantity wise Nadeem sharavan had a dominance all over 90s

Come on! Jatin Lalit and Annu Malik had biggest successes in 90s only. Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, DDLJ, KKHH, do they look like less of a peak or less success?

Nadeem Shravan had major success only in early 90s. You are ignoring rest of 90s music icons and other half of that decade by focusing only on Nadeem Shravan.

Ismail Darbar did debut in 90s. So did ARR, Sandeep Chowta.

You are even ignoring Anand Milind.

i quote anu malik, " I have never got the instant work, after doing baazigar, phir tere kahani yaad aye i had no work i was struggling, then came Jp dutta border and refugee after these films i again had no work , and after Main hoon na i had no work ,,,,,,,,so according to him he had not seen the kind of peak and rage Nadeem Shravan had seen ,,,,,,,, Anand Miland were close competitor to Nadeem Shravan but their music style was more or less like Nadeem Sharavan itself the tabla dholak stuff, and my post was regarding excess of that kinds of songs made the 90's quite monotonous era ,,,,,,,,jatin lalit music was different which was refreshing change

Annu Malik was one of biggest successes in 90s. Rajesh Roshan was also doing well.

Malik may have felt dissatisfied but his biggest hits are from 90s and he brought out own independent albums also which became hits.

Where do you find same old tabla dholak or hee aa in songs of QSQT?

Even music of MPK, HAHK, Saajan, HSSH, Pyar kiya toh darna kya, Hello Brother, Haseena Maan jayegi, Bade miyan Chhote miyan, Hero no 1, Khuddar, Biwi no.1, Ghulam, Khalnayak etc is different from Nadeem Shravan typical style.

You are probably giving Nadeem Shravan more credit than they deserve, just because their music became defining or prominent in early 90s. Their music probably becomes more instantly recognisable of 90s feel. But I do not agree that their style was there in most of music of 90s films.

yes there are these few films which are different but u are neglecting those thosands of films which are alike nadeem shravan like phool or kante, sajan , aashique, dil ka kya qasoor , dil hai ke manta nahi , sadak , raja hindustani , dilwale etc the list for nadeem shravan music is much more than that of those albums which dont have nadeem sharavan and the reason is simple that from 1990 to 1995 it was the most amazing peak of this duo , even singer who was less heard in nadeem shravan music till 1995 like udit narayan himself told in one video that kumar sanu and nadeem shravan ka aisa dour chala tha ke 5 saal usne mere band bajaye , hum bhi thay per unka domination bhout zyada tha .....u yourself can imagine the kind of quantity Nadeem shravan duo had till i guess 1995-96............

But why should we ignore rest of 90s decade just because of Nadeem Shravan and Kumar Sanu dominance in early 90s?

For that matter even Hum, Khuda Gawah, Beta, Dil, Dil Tera Aashiq, Laadla, Gentleman, Tamannah, Daraar, Agnisakshi, Lamhe, Rakshak, Vinashak, Gambler, Ghayal, Ghatak, Ishq, have different music style. All are 90s films whose songs did feature in Top 10, Chitrahar etc.
