Does ITV actually belittle smart competent and ambitious versus simple selfless more traditional. Are characters on TV or real life actually that binary. Are question like these just a guise for putting one side down versus the other - just what one accuses others of doing? Just like calling Akshara is “sweet”. Whether focusing on one point in caps lower down a long list gives one the right to make assumptions about the authors thought process… lots of interesting points to consider.
Glad this post is generating debate though.
Yes, ITV does. The only exception I know is Sonakshi from KRPKB. We all know people are not purely good and evil in real life. Most are in very grey area.
The side that majority of the times being put down is that of the competent smart woman. What is wrong with calling Akshara sweet? She is sweet. Isn't she? She is literally a people pleaser. People in general feel nice when they interact with Akshara. I never pointed it out as a bad thing. At the same time Arohi doesn't care what people think of her and she isn't a people pleaser either (of course she wanted to create a good image in front of Abhi, that's just ITV shallowness) and I don't think that made Arohi bad either.
I already repeatedly more than once stated that the entire set of arguments comparing both the characters are ridiculous with enough points.
And pointing out the bike thing specifically was because you highlighted it with capslock.
PS: if this only leads to me repeating the same thing over and over again instead of the argument moving forward, I am signing off from the debate.
Thank you for indulging me. 🤗
