To me the promo felt like, Abhi saying nothing matters to me more than Akshara and if she wants this I will support her decision. So its not for his mum but maybe only to fullfil Akshara's wishes he will decide to think about Arohi.

Yeah most of it is exactly same. Same with Ghum serial which is another remake of Bengali drama Kusum Dola. Idk why Star Plus is remaking everything from Star Jholsa.
