Yes, Aryan feels like a breather in the backdrop of pure mess that is Imlie and Aditya's constant fighting. I haven't seen many of Imlie's emotional outbursts. But I must say, what I see feels justified. I also feel like she's being put in such emotionally extreme situations and at a point in her life where she hasn't yet developed the skills to deal with them. Like how can Adtiya and his family expect what they expect from her. Its mind blowing really.
And I think I've said this in another post, but I feel like Aryan is a less extreme Gul hero. He's not downright cruel like Arnav and stuck-up like Shivaay. Don't even get me started on Yeh Jinn.
But back to this, honestly the way Aryan cracked wide open over that bottle of water was something to behold. He reminds me of Maan, who although was hard, was just as caring and soft. I like heroes who are hard, physically strong, strong-willed, but empathetic, kind, and great lovers. Aryan's lectures are tough but the fact that he takes interest in teaching Imlie is kind of beautiful in a way. He is patiently teaching her all the things no one bothered to teach her before. I almost don't care about the endgame, I am enjoying this track so much. She's getting care from what is on the outside, the most unlikeliest source.
See, the outburst should have come long long back, when it all started with this marriage, then servant status, then regular humiliation by AC, so on and so forth. Imlie's outburst looks mistimed, but that is what outburst is. If you suppress the anger and pain for so long, it will come out like an explosion.
Aryan is very sedate if compared to Arnav or Shivaay. Arnav and Shivaay had mommy issues. One's mother was betrayed, and the other taught him that breed determines a person's character. Aryan has brother-in-law issues, which is quite strange and different. Aryan doesn't look down upon Imlie, unlike the others. He misunderstood her once, but since then he has quickly understood how she will act and react to certain things.
Unlike Imlie whose first reaction is resorting to aggression or stupidity, Aryan's approach is resorting to intellect and tackling people or situations. Violence is the last option for him. Also, even he has certain reservations and bitterness, he doesn't vomit it out on the woman all the time. Maybe once or twice, but not always. Arnav and Shivaay always took things on ego, Aryan doesn't do so yet.
Well, I do care if they are not the endgame, but I know I will move on to something better, off TV.😆
