Well, what else can we think based on Imlie’s words from the last few arguments? She’s just constantly stewing in anger more than hurt and she keeps repeating the same lines about how Malini slept with him and how she wants M out of the house. So I’m not sure of what other conclusion to draw other than the fact that she’s having some kind of delayed reaction/realization that she can’t live up to the vows of mahaanta she claimed about apnaaoing Adi with all his baggage….she seems to be feeling some kind of delayed disgust over the fact that M slept with Adi (even if it was drugged rape) and that seems to be only now bothering her as a wife. Pehle toh isne aaraam se compartmentalize kar liya tha 🤷♀️….but it’s looking disjointed now cuz the reaction is so delayed and feels forced. This is why I feel more connect to Adi’s exasperation over her making these demands now coz they do sound like childish retaliation. And Adi is not the kind of guy to kick someone out of his house for childish retaliation. That is what’s stopping him now. He feels Imlie is being retaliatory. And she isn’t helping her case by having all these childish outbursts. There is so much to sympathize with Imlie vis a vis her pain on a basic level. Why reduce her to these childish outbursts? The scene would have been so much more powerful with that wise and dignified Imlie bajaaoing him in her own way. But what did we get? This lame caricature that panders to the Birdie bhakt brigade. Mehh
Baaki they dropped the ball in showing us how much only Adi is falling apart in being away from her. His hurt was raw on another level while Imlie is shown only fixating on her career and naya boss. Toh obviously disconnect hoga and will make you question the depth of love here. One person is falling apart unable to even stand and the other is clowning around her room like life is mast? 🤷♀️
Adi’s angst is all well and good but if they continue to show this moronic bipolar version of Imlie, it’s hard to sustain Adilie 🤷♀️
@ bold - So I have little different take here. I surely agree that she’s literally spewing venom since las few episodes, but I do not think if Adi had believed her even an ounce or acknowledged that Malini is there to harm their relationship, she would be THIS bitter. I also do not think that she’s having a delayed realization of M & baby kaand. I still believe that had M not been THIS shameless after the baby revelation and consistently challenging Imlie, she would’ve really accepted the baby + M and all of Adi’s baggage.
She’s never blamed Adi for the bigamy he did knowingly, neither she’s ever been unaware of the fact that Adi would always have this baggage called M, more so after the baby kaand.
I feel that her faith in Adi got shaken when he deleted the video WITHOUT her knowledge; that transparency of their relationship was gone at that time. One can argue that she helped her Dadda escape without Adi’s knowledge which Adi reciprocated with the video deletion. She still loved Adi and “his ansh” and tried her best to focus on the baby and not M’s antics but when Adi consistently dismissed her warnings about M, that’s when the gap started to get bigger and she started to feel that her words hold no value to him. Adi’s indifference & inaction to M’s antics bother her more than anything else, in my opinion. She’s not able to ignore M the way Adi can. I believe the lack of acknowledgement from Adi about M’s intentions started to build this frustration within her and at one point the volcano just irrupted with that one question. Her pile of anger & frustration since months is making her blind in seeing or acknowledging Adi’s very valid points about her current bad decisions regarding ASR.
While I completely agree about her OTT giddiness about the bedroom and bathrobe seem so “not Imlie”, I do not think that when it comes her feelings towards Adi – love, anger or seeking shaabashi for driving the car - she is a different Imlie. Yes, she is mad at him but she doesn’t not love him. She still yearns for his attention, approval and acknowledgement. I think the real disjointedness comes from this sudden flip flop between a sad and chirpy Imlie for no reason, and because of that it becomes hard to acknowledge that she too is emotionally suffering. The makers continue to change the focus of her “dukh”…at one point she’s dukhi as she has nowhere to live, and then the other time she’s dukhi because she’s missing Adi and her apne, and then she’s dukhi as babusahib is not trusting her, and then last night she was dukhi again because babusahib is not getting M out of his home.
While they have managed to show Adi consistent about his dukh and hurt, with Imlie, seems like they just don’t know where to take her with so many things open to be “dukhi” about and also making her work on her career and independence.
