Chapter 1
"One vodka shot, please." Raavi ordered as soon as she entered the pub.
While waiting for her order she glanced at the dance floor thick with dancing couples. How many of them were really faithful to eachother? How many were planning to dump their partners? She just felt pity on them as she gulp down the drink.
“Saamne se jayenge, aur piche k darwaze se bahar ayenge.” Shiva instructed Krish as they sneak into the pub.
It was Saturday night and the disco was filled with more people than usual. It was the best time for Shiva to complete his work.
Suddenly his eyes fell on a girl sitting on a corner, gulping down her drink. She was wearing black shorts with anda white shirt. A golden bag hung on her side, she was wearing black high heels.Her long black hair fell on her back. He was so mesmerized by her that he didn't pay any attention to Krish who was blabbering something beside him.
When Krish noticed that his friend was no more paying attention to him, he looked towards the reason of distraction. He was surprised that Shiva was distracted by some girl.
Involuntarily, Shiva started moving towards her holding his breath.
She was sipping her drink when he reached beside her.
"Can I sit here?" he asked politely.
She shrugged her shoulders and allowed him to sit. He ordered his drink and kept playing with his fingers with nervousness.
As soon as Raavi saw the man wearing a dashing red jacket sitting closer, her heart started beating faster. For some reason, she couldn’t take off her eyes from him. Her toes curled as she felt something in her stomach.
Shiva realised that the girl was constantly looking at him. He completely forgot what he came for and decided to initiate a conversation.
“I am Shiva,” he said trying to smile at her. “And you?”
“Raavi,” she said as she tried to hide her nervousness.
“Aapko pehle kabhi dekha nahi yahan.”
“I am new here.”
Before Shiva could say anything further,a guy came from behind and asked for Raavi.
“Miss Raavi?”
She excused herself and went with him. Shiva couldn’t help gazing at her direction even when he didn’t want to invade their conversation. He noticed that man giving Raavi a packet of white powder and she keeping it in her bag. She came back and said to Shiva politely,
“I got to leave now.”
“Bag mein kya daala?”
“None of your business,” she replied and started moving towards stairs on a different side of pub.
Shiva wanted to follow her but decided not to. He sighed sitting back, trying to control his racing heart. Suddenly he saw a team of police entering in the pub. Krish came running to him.
“Abhi tak toh humne kuch kia bhi nahi bhai, yeh police kaise aa gayi.”
“Chup re gadhere,” Shiva said and his thought went to Raavi, who he saw putting drugs into her bag. He looked towards the stairs which she had climbed. Suddenly he started getting afraid for her.
Police cornered everyone at a place and started searching the pub. Fee constables went upstairs. In few minutes,they brought Raavi handcuffed along with few other man.
"Open my hands,” Raavi ordered.
“Order toh aise de rahi hai jaise minister ho kahin ki,” the constable said. “Drug ki dealing karte hue pakdi gayi hai. Chup chaap khadi reh.”
"Where is Inspector Purab?” she asked.
The policemen looked at her surprised, but before anyone could say anything, another team of officers arrived. The policemen saluted them. They nodded at them but then they were shocked to see Raavi in handcuffs.
“Release her,” Inspector Karan ordered.
“Where the hell were you?” she asked irritated as her hands were released.
“Jai hind ma’am.” He said as he saluted her. “Sorry we were late. Officers, she is ACP Raavi Joshi. Our newly appointed ACP.”
Everyone realised their mistake and saluted.
“Sorry ma’am,” they apologized and Raavi nodded understanding that they were only doing their duty.
“Purab, arrest them. I have the proofs. Aur puri jagah ko seal kar do."
She commanded her team and everyone went on their works. Purab was discussing something with Raavi when her eyes fell on shocked a Shiva standing with everyone in crowd.
She went towards him and asked him to come out.
“Main janti hoon tu iss pub mei kyun aya tha.”
Shiva's eyes widen and he gulp down his saliva.
“Stylish jacket pehen lene se b chor chor hi rehta hai,” she said folding her arms. “Sach sachbata, kya kya churaya hai?”
“Arrey nahi madamji, mene toh bas wo green jacket waale bhaisaab ki ghadi li thi,” he said, shocked by his own words.
‘Mene kisika kuch bhi nahi lia,’ he wanted to say but he said the truth.
Raavi smirked at his confession. Shiva bowed his head down in embarrassment.
“Mene dekh lia tha tujhe.”
“Yeh nahi dikhta ki yahan mera khud ka dil khoya padaa hai,” he muttered under his breath.
“Kuch kaha?” Raavi asked.
“Nahi toh,” Shiva replied. “Apka toh kuch nahi khoya na?”
“Mera Dil,” she said subconsciously.
“Haan?”
“Mera matlab, kuch nahi. Jiska b jo lia hai na, usey lauta de.Aaj jaane de rahi hoon. Agli baar padka gaya na, sidhe jail mein daal doongi.”
Shiva nodded his head like an obedient kid and went back towards the group.
Raavi couldn’t believe she was speaking her heart in front of him. There was something, that was pulling her towards him.
“Hey Somnath, yeh kaisa khel rachaya hai,” Shiva thought. “Chor ko Poilce se Ishq karaya hai?”
