Oh wow! I’m sorry I’m late but I wanted to read the latest update aaram se! And what an update! Them recognising the feelings they’ve been feeling was beautiful. Shiva wanting the best for car, Raavi wanting Shiva. Uffff. I notice the story is following the plot of canon but without the wedding which is what I love! ITV does too much of shaadi k baad pyaar and push and pull. But it’s not truly that coz they’re already bound! But the way I’ve written it is so natural and lovely yet so dramatic and heartfelt that I’m in love with you! Sorry if zyaada ho Gaya hehehe😋

also the cliffhanger!!! I have an idea but I’ll not think about it much and let you do your magic!! Waiting for update!!

Its kind of a surprise to find a confident guy like him feel insecure about the woman he loves (and knows since childhood) and a refreshing one at that I must say. Its something you don't expect and different and I dig it tbh.

It's what I know about the Shiva in canon. That he thinks he's not good enough for Raavi- that he's too rough and uncouth and she needs a gentleman (like Dev). I took that premise and ran with it.

Well Duh I already knew he was doing it for himself. No question about it.

It was as if a jagged piece of glass had wedged itself permanently in her heart, stabbing at it persistently and causing the pain to spread everywhere.

I started tearing up from here, this point. I've said it before Imma saying again, I related to her on another level. She my twin. She doing the same thing I do during breakdowns. Stuff my head in a pillow and cry in intervals for hours with short breaks in between because its better that way and I know it.

Oh she had been ravaged, alright. I wondered the same thing though. How had she left without being caught. Low-key very happy about it. Yeah, she crying in intervals. Told you. Relaaaatttttte Maaaxx.

I never thought I'd see someone use this masterpiece in a 'him singing outside your window' scene. Sachi. Blown away. I am a HUGE Waheeda Rehmaan Fan plus my mother is a huge Guru Dutt fan so we keep simping over tracks from the early decades. From Nutan to Dharmendra you play a song from the B&Ws and I'm already a goner. Rafi has nailed this song exactly like other gems of his and I couldn't thank you enough for including this.

Ok, I never thought I'd find someone who'd acknowledge or even appreciate the choice of song here, because hello Retro! But I'm a huge Retro fan. Like Huge! And don't talk to me about Waheeda and Guru Dutt and Rafi! No, I mean come talk to me! 😆 They don't make 'em like them anymore! ❤️

Even though I held my head and smiled goofily at the same time when she melted I couldn't deny the fact that i understood. I understood this scene. When you've never had someone do anything for you or have never felt love in the purest form you tend to melt even at the merest people do for you and I guess that is what happened her. She'd been betrayed/ignored/uncared for so many times that when he did something so beautiful she couldn't have stopped herself, no matter how much she tried.

Yes this too, though I was going only by his extremely endearing romantic gesture (and the song! I would be a puddle of goo if anyone sang this song to me! Raavi doesn't stand a chance!)

I broke down. I don't think anything could have explained it better. Grief comes and goes in waves. I've been dealing with it and so I know that you do not move on from it you try to, you try to move past it but it just lingers around. You learn to live with it. Swim in it and move forward along with it. The loss stays, the vacuum always lingers. I had to stop for a while after this. Ngl.

I think we've all experienced this in one form or the other, some of us more than others. And I relate to this so much that I had to put it down. It's true. You never get over it. It's stays with you like a perpetual shadow and then looms large all of sudden and takes over you. That palpable grief that robs you of your breath - I've felt it, man!

Why was he lying about not wanting to finish college? The store is doing well I guess? Why don't consider it? I'm curious about this one. Maybe it gets addressed in the upcoming chapters? I hope so.

Aaaannnndd....BAM. More tears. I would have broken down in front of the speaker if someone said this to me and broken down like truly on the ground bawling like a baby because it would have been so unbelievably precious and I would have been floored. How didn't she fall down with the impact?

Again I'm happy you brought up this piece of dialogue because this one (and the grief one) are my personal favorites. It took me time to craft the exact words and I'm glad they've had the impact I was aiming for!

You know, when I began writing this I was aware that my ShiVi weren't exactly like canon ShiVi, but this one thing about canon Shiva stayed in my mind - that he kept thinking he wasn't good enough for Raavi. And that's the underlying motive behind his actions.

Yeah the shaadi ke baad pyar is an overdone trope. It can be delicious in a way, but that wasn't how I wanted this story to progress!
