Update 9: Can't fight this feeling anymore

Summary: Raavi gets some more wishes fulfilled from her bucket list though not perhaps in the way she would have liked. There are some realizations, some disappointments, some revelations and some singing and dancing!

Thank you to Ritu (EuphoricDamsel.) 🤗for helping me with Raavi's final bucket list. (Psst, still not revealing all of it! 😆). This is also a looonng chapter (close to 8000 words) but I'm posting it all in one go.

Shiva paced listlessly in circles around his room.

I wanted it to begin that way. With Shiva pondering over his actions and trying to tell himself he needs to apologize to her. So it wasn't the notion of protecting her from himself or an attempt to distance her from himself it was his realisation that made him retaliate. Well, I didn't think that in the first read. Lol. I straight up thought he was pushing her away so he could stop her from getting hurt. Yeah I figured the list wasn't on his mind but it really broke my heart what he said. Sigh.

Its kind of a surprise to find a confident guy like him feel insecure about the woman he loves (and knows since childhood) and a refreshing one at that I must say. Its something you don't expect and different and I dig it tbh.

Well Duh I already knew he was doing it for himself. No question about it.

Him and his unique friendship. Imma done with this friendship just confess already will you?

It was as if a jagged piece of glass had wedged itself permanently in her heart, stabbing at it persistently and causing the pain to spread everywhere.

I started tearing up from here, this point. I've said it before Imma saying again, I related to her on another level. She my twin. She doing the same thing I do during breakdowns. Stuff my head in a pillow and cry in intervals for hours with short breaks in between because its better that way and I know it.

I never thought I'd see someone use this masterpiece in a 'him singing outside your window' scene. Sachi. Blown away. I am a HUGE Waheeda Rehmaan Fan plus my mother is a huge Guru Dutt fan so we keep simping over tracks from the early decades. From Nutan to Dharmendra you play a song from the B&Ws and I'm already a goner. Rafi has nailed this song exactly like other gems of his and I couldn't thank you enough for including this.

Even though I held my head and smiled goofily at the same time when she melted I couldn't deny the fact that i understood. I understood this scene. When you've never had someone do anything for you or have never felt love in the purest form you tend to melt even at the merest people do for you and I guess that is what happened her. She'd been betrayed/ignored/uncared for so many times that when he did something so beautiful she couldn't have stopped herself, no matter how much she tried.

That evening, Anita and Dhara dee helped her get ready.

Shiva’s heart ached as he watched Raavi walk away with Tushar even as his mind was telling him it was the right thing to do. Tushar was a good guy. His gym was doing well and he’d keep Raavi happy if Raavi decided she wanted him.

Okay hang on! What is up with men trying to be these protectors 24*7 and pushing the woman they long into the arms of another knowing very well there'd be three lives in distress? No seriously...What is up with this? Ab kya hoga pachtane se ab tho aagyi wo Tushuuu baby ke saath, ye sb pehle sochna tha na, Gadheda Max pro.

Sigh Dev knows and he understands and he thinks his brother is a nincompoop. Too much opposite for our dear Dev-the action hero from the show who just basically exists to give ONE EXPRESSION in every scene. Neutrality got nothing on our Dave. 🤣

This Dev though (your Dev babu) is something so perfect it feels very unreal and excellent.

I broke down. I don't think anything could have explained it better. Grief comes and goes in waves. I've been dealing with it and so I know that you do not move on from it you try to, you try to move past it but it just lingers around. You learn to live with it. Swim in it and move forward along with it. The loss stays, the vacuum always lingers. I had to stop for a while after this. Ngl.

Why was he lying about not wanting to finish college? The store is doing well I guess? Why don't consider it? I'm curious about this one. Maybe it gets addressed in the upcoming chapters? I hope so.

I don't blame her for questioning him about him arranging the win. Its pure instinct, almost a reflex reaction. She still can't believe it.

Very proud of her for bringing the kiss talk up. Required courage but I'm glad she didn't cower back even when he was getting angry. It was needed, necessary.
