Hi... Can anyone tell me khud pe ghamand karna and khud se pyar karna is different?? I was thinking if one loves self then only they are pride of their self right?? Toh mujhe aaj Raghav ke yeh dialogue samajh mein nahi aaya... If he has pride on himself then he must be loving himself right??
The way I understood it was that Raghav never felt he deserved any love and appreciation and has very low self-worth feeling and that is because it was constantly drilled into him that he is the guy responsible for the death of his father and younger brother. His mother always berated him to be a bad person that is why he constantly asks Farhad - I am a good person right? He could never forgive himself for the tragedies and hence he could never love himself or have any self-worth. Yes he did earn lots of money and to cushion himself from the scars of his life he built a wall of pride and arrogance around him. But strip away that layer and all Raghav ever wanted was to be loved by his family and the assurance that he is a good person underneath. Pallavi was the only one who ever gave him that assurance that she trusted his innate goodness and looked beyond his shield of arrogance.

Thanks Ana... Actually i was taking Ghamand as pride but didn't thought of arrogance and ego... That makes sense.. generally people will take pride when they love themselves just like Geet of Jab we met... I always assumed Raghav like that "main apni favourite hoon" type...😆 To overcome the guilt everytime that time and again stems he choose to be arrogant...
And what about trusting Isha when she came back?? Why he chose to trust her when.she claimed that they had the thing?? I didn't get that...
@bold:- Yesterday Raghav says that it was always drilled into him that he was a bad person and he does bad things. That is why he goes into this loop of destructive behavior - self harm and punishments cycle because he feels he deserves that only. When Esha made the scene look like they slept together, it really suffocated him that he cheated on his wife Pallavi and he readily believed it because it has been repeatedly said that he destroys beautiful things. So he readily believed that maybe this one good thing he had going in his life also got destroyed by him. That is why he never dug deeper to find the truth. Only Pallavi put the things together and after Amrutha mentioned that Esha was never supposed to be in Warangal she went and found out the truth. Had Pallavi never found out the truth, Raghav would have lived in the guilt that he destroyed his happiness with his own hands - His psyche is that damaged unfortunately.

Thanks for the explanation Sharada👍
Glad that they showed some meaningful background of AYM persona but just not jumped blazing guns all over the FL just to torture... Seems Arjun Reddy is less self destructive than RR 😆

Yes unfortunately Jaya always berating RR for being born was too harsh. In the earlier episodes Jaya is like - you should have died in my womb only or you are murderer of my husband and son. These things leave deep impact on someone's conscience. The reason why RR is a good guy is inspite of all these things he always tries to do his level best - like Pallavi says he gives his 200% for anything he does.

That dialogue of Jaya Rao has always been a sore point for me.
Saying that to your first born with such harshness. It can manifest in the villainous of all people... Fir yeh toh Raghav thha

I still feel they should have explored mother son dynamics and her poor parenting. She just ended up saying to her late husband that Raghav had reformed without thinking through how much damage she had caused.
