I concede: Latika is a hypocrite because she claimed her place in the race as Abhimanyu's ardhāṅginī and called them husband/wife in public, but in private she won't go past "bāyakocī maitrīṇa kaṃvā jhāle mī?" and "pūrṇa nāṃvāne hāka māraṇāra āhe malā, āyuṣyabhara?" and trying to take back the divorce notice.

I still sympathize with this hypocrite because her whole life has been a pattern of doing what is expected of her and taking her place last in line. It's easier for her to shame Sajjan for being beaten by his father, or to nag Abhimanyu about keeping the race a secret, than it is for her to say, "I want you to be my husband." She knows rationally that no one else can make her choice for her, and yet she must feel terrified about proposing to Abhimanyu - the man who is held up by everyone as an example of unattainable desirability and bodily perfection.

I love that Abhimanyu is not giving in to Latika's coy hints. The time for him to propose and her to accept is past. It's beneath him to put any pressure on her to rescind her decision to divorce. So, come on, Latika! You can be vulnerable with your best friend. Don't just hold out your hand. Tell him that you want to hold his hand - unless you have something more romantic in mind!

It was refreshing to hear Nandini reassuring Latika that the divorce won't proceed if the couple wants to stay together, and even that Abhimanyu can't easily divorce Latika if she objects. Too often, Indian TV shows create fake drama about some third party causing a divorce of two people who don't want it.

I also like the portrayal of Abhimanyu's dilemma. He knows that Latika wants to come back, but he can't put words in her mouth; he reassures her with his own faith that someday his family will accept her again, but he also has to make a sacrifice for his mother's obstinacy; he had to sign the notice so that Latika isn't trapped, but he knows that now Bapu feels justified for thinking the worst of him ... I hope Abhimanyu will draw the line at being marketed for a second marriage, and tell Indu that he's taken.

I know, alcohol is a drug, and it's not right to laugh at someone who was assaulted by being drugged involuntarily, but ... Drunk Latika is simply delightful! Effusive, dancing, insouciant, affectionate ... I hope Akshaya Naik had as much fun as she seemed to have with this departure from Latika's sober character. I don't know how Sameer Paranjape managed to keep a straight face as Abhimanyu - she was too good!

The emotional scenes of Latika telling Indu that she loves her and Bapu realizing that he trusts Abhimanyu were both tearjerkers.

I catched up yesterday's episode... Akshaya played drunk Latika really well... Never ever she went OTT , she was sober... And a true delight to watch.... Well played girl... Sameer was holding himself so well as Abhimanyu... Well done guys....

Latika's declaration of love while drunk was beautiful, but Abhimanyu is right; he needs to hear her say it while sober.

Abhimanyu's mimicry of Latika's finger-swipe on the phone and his mock-drunken stumbling were hilarious. I wonder if it was improvised. Sameer Paranjape does a fine impression of Sajjan, so maybe the director allowed him to add this to the scene.

Abhimanyu said to Latika, "Vāstu 'tathā'stu' mhaṇata asate" while they were outdoors! Is it foreshadowing that he'll be vanavāsī for a while?

Abhimanyu giving his jacket to Latika was romantic, of course, belonging to the long tradition of lovers ever since Cārudatta handed his cloak to Vasantasenā. But really, both of them have an active metabolism, and Latika's body should be able to generate more heat from adipose tissue, compared to Abhimanyu's body. A more sensible solution would have been for him to give her a lift, and for her to hug him from behind to stay warm.

Finally stumbled upon this mess after so long and to see that its gone further down the drain..... To redeem that fatso they have further ruined Hema.... She was grey but not this bad.... Now she is turning criminal so that fatso's kaali kartoot can be hidden...

And abhi looks like a lapdog of the fatso. The guy who did everything for his mother is literally licking the fatso's feet now... Despite his mother giving threats of suicide. Such heartless person he has become cause of the fatso...

And their romance looks cheap and disgusting.... Thank God I stopped watching this show.... Aaj waste zala time....

She's still being flippant about Abhimanyu's feelings in one scene and in a hurry to propose to him in the next scene, and now she's suddenly inattentive at work - a flaw that she never had before. It's nice to see her in different moods, like a real person and not an ideal.

Of course, none of that has anything to do with her being stout, for which nobody needs to be redeemed. The show's premise has always been that Latika is the heroine in spite of her avoirdupois. Anyone who doesn't like the premise but watches the show is asking to be miserable.

Hema has been a criminal before: she pushed a bystander woman to knock a little girl down the steps of the hill temple, and she locked Latika inside her parents' house. Hema softened just a little after her husband made the effort to be sober (thanks to Latika's commitment), but she has always been an obnoxious but believable and (dare I say) sympathetic character. I don't think Hema trying to steal the property ruins her character. It makes sense that she wants to be secure and doesn't have any skills, so this is all she can do to be taken seriously.

Indumati's talk of dying is not new. She has gone on a hunger strike before. Anyway, her life, her decision. Abhimanyu shouldn't have to wait for her to croak before he can get it on with his wife. Your statement that Abhimanyu is "literally" licking Latika's feet is not true, nor can such an interesting fetish be shown on TV, but whatever intimate acts they do by mutual consent are fine with me.

pretty biased you are....... Latika flaws are human, Hema's is not........great..........anyways I dont want to pander to your biased rosy view about that Dholi..........yes, she is a fatso and i feel disgusted to even look at her......how i endured her yesterday only i know........and yes the makers have ruined every character to make that Dholi look good........ and this is what most shows do, but here they have made the FL so disgusting, that i feel sorry for poor Abhimanyu that he has to spend his fictional life with this fatso....... cause the producers wont free him, even if that Dholi commits a murder......... this is fiction but there women like her in real world who want to make her husband dance to her tunes........ my sympathies for all those men....
