Retro actresses who continued their acting careers after marriage/kids

These days people praise actresses (like Kareena and Deepika) who continue their careers after marriage as if it's something that was never done before, but I believe there are several actresses who continued acting decades ago, despite being married.

A few names that come to mind: Rakhee, Sharmila Tagore, Suchitra Sen, Saira Banu and Moushumi Chaterjee.

Are there any others?

Yes, Nargis only did one film for her brothers after she got married. Starting at 14 must have really drained her.

Like Asin.. She also said in her interview that she's been slogging since she was 14 and decided to quit

Nutan, Sadhana, Hema Malini, Waheeda Rehman, Raakhee Gulzar, Sharmila Tagore, Durga Khote, Shobhana Samarth, Devika Rani all continued to work after marriage.

But they were exceptions. In past films were considered cheap profession for women. Mostly husbands and in laws did not want them to work in films after marriage.

Filmmakers and male stars were also not keen to work with married actresses or ones who became mothers and went after younger girls who were ready to do anything and also less demanding, less pricey.

Age shaming, body shaming was very much there earlier and so was character slandering with people asking why she works despite being married or how her husband and in laws allow her to 'do this'.

I have heard such rants against Kareena, Madhuri and Kajol too.

Public is very judgemental of actresses especially if they are married.

People still troll Deepika, Anushka and PC for still working and being in limelight. Deepika, PC are also trolled for not having kids yet.

Aishwarya was trolled all the time when she did films post marriage. Older gen asking why Amitabh and Jaya allowed her to do ADHM or how did they tolerate her scenes with HR in JA, D2 or why they allow her to wear those deep neck gowns at Cannes.

It is still way harder for married actresses to continue without being judged by families, industry and masses.
