Government is to serve people, repeat after me Kangana, people are not there to serve the government:

Modiji and his stooges cleverly tried to make this as a fight of ‘some’ farmers only. So now the mighty Modi humbled himself just for a ‘few’ farmers? If the laws were so beneficial for the Farmers then why did he repeal them just for a ‘few’ farmers? That too right before the elections in two of the biggest states? Is his winning the elections in the Punjab and UP so important that he was willing to throw the rest of the Farmers under the bus just for a ‘few’ of them and their votes?

These are the questions the stooges should be asking but Modiji is full confident that they wont! Unke rone jaise shakal dekhke already they all must be piglofying and hating those poor farmers some more - the reaction he very much wanted when he announced that decision on the TV instead of directly to the farmers.

Give the government credit for listening to the people. Isn't that what we want? Creating a situation where it's seen as a zero-sum game will not help citizens.

Govt did it to save their ass ahead of assembly polls in Punjab and UP and to save face post backlash they got when a BJP leader's son mowed down farmers under his car. The govt which did not hear earlier and labelled farmers and their supporters as terrorists, separatists or ISI and Chinese agents or unleashed hate, lathi charge, cases against farmers and left them to rot on streets which led to death of hundreds of farmers due to harsh weather conditions deserves NO credit at all. They have not responded properly to concerns of farmers. Even their earlier bulldozing farm laws without debate in parliament or discussions with stakeholders led to protests in first place.

Even celebs who supported farmer protests got hate, trolling or false cases against them or ED at their door.

Credit to govt for what?

I agree Kangana needs help and I wonder why this govt is promoting, encouraging, pampering and rewarding her so much. Kangana would never say what she does if she had no attention and encouragement from BJP.

Even now the poor farmers have no idea what to do or how to take this because nobody approached them nor was there any official document given to them that backs up what was promised. It’s unbelievable how in a democratic country the Government is being allowed to harass and bully the farmers like this.:(

I'm not super in touch with Indian politics, so I won't dispute what you said.

Would still like to believe people in power at least imagine they're doing the right thing. Just that most politicians are incompetent and ignorant. Some are irredeemable obviously.

Yes. This is why farmers are cautious and are waiting for laws to be repealed officially through parliament and are not assured by just verbal promises.

It was insane how Diljit and several Punjabi, Haryanvi, UP regional stars, folk stars were called Khalistani or anti national for supporting farmers. Cricketers like Shubman Gill, Mandeep Singh also got trolled and labelled anti national for supporting farmers.

Prakash Raj and Kamal Haasan got trolled for posting in favour of farmers.

Rihanna not only got trolled but also faced case in India against her company Fenty Beauty after she tweeted for farmers. Time magazine got boycott calls after featuring farmers on cover. Greta Thunberg and Mia Khalifa got sedition cases against them for supporting Indian farmers.

It is crazy how even mere opinion on a protest could invite such targeting.

Reminds me of Aamir targeted by Modi govt in Gujarat after he attended Medha Patkar's protest against Sardar Sarovar Dam in 2006 and his films banned in Gujarat after that.

There are 700 farmers who died during these protests either due to harsh weather sitting on roads for one year or due to lathi charge by cops and recent ones due to son of a BJP leader mowing down farmers under his car (which was a ghastly crime and horrendous arrogance of power).

All these deaths, trolling and propaganda against farmers or their supporters could have been avoided if Govt had debate, discussion earlier before bulldozing these laws or withdrew/amended these laws earlier. Govt had no favourable response to farmers earlier. Rather even got highways dug or nails put on roads to stop farmers from entering Delhi. I have observed this protest from day one. The protest first started at serveral places in Punjab, Haryana, UP in May 2020. It continued for months before they finally decided to go to Delhi. They wanted to protest at Ramlila Maidan but were not allowed to enter Delhi which is why they were compelled to sit at borders on roads. The govt response was high handed and hostile from day one.

Even now they have not admitted anything wrong from their side. Rather blamed 'section of farmers' who 'they were not able to explain these laws'. I feel this announcement was more of blaming protestors or designed to disperse them and send them home, than any genuine understanding of their cause or allaying their fears. This is why farmers and legal experts are still not sure and do not want to call off protest until laws are officially repealed through Parliament.

Modiji ke hote hue she called this a jihadi nation just because some tucch 100₹ people managed to get the law repealed. Take away her Padmashree!
