Amitabh is anyday miles ahead of her in acting. He has challenged himself time and again in terms of different roles. Eg. Black, Nishabd, Paa, Cheeni Kum, Piku, Sarkar etc. ❤️

I don’t even see a comparison between both of them. Jaya Bachchan ki jitni height hai compared to AB, utne hi kam hai woh from his level in acting

Some from the earlier era like Sholay (obviously), Silsila, Bawarchi etc. A lot more 2000 onwards, which means in Fiza, Kal Ho Na Ho, Laga Chunari.

I was also present on the sets of the wedding sequence of Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche, where she gave her trademark shocked expression, while the camera revolved her 🤔

AB is much more talented and experimental with his roles. I just don’t find Jaya as good.

No ,its Aishwarya without a doubt. Jaya Bachchan can never play Sunehri or that girl from Dayya Dayya Re.

In terms of pure talent? Jaya was and is miles ahead of Amitabh.

But passion and effort matter. She didn't have much passion and certainly didn't put in effort after the first few films.

Yes AB was not keen on her doing films and once told her point blank that he did not like to be served meals by servants and he would like to see his wife around whenever he comes home at any time of the day. That was a clear message to Jaya besides a certain instance when she was about to leave for work and one of her kids tugged her saree pallu and asked papa has left, you will leave too? She felt emotional and guilty for going so she decided to further continue to stay at home.

She would perhaps never return to work if ABCL did not fail and Amitabh was not buried in debt and not going on verge of being bankrupt. Jaya began working in offbeat films and also launched her own production house Saraswati Creations to produce TV shows and later joined politics to cultivate political links after AB fell out with INC and Gandhis.

Coming to the question - no. Jaya is not the most talented one. She was bigger star than Amitabh in 60s and early 70s, trained at FTII but she does not have versatility and range like Amitabh who is good at everything from action, comedy, romance, drama in fiction format to proving his mettle as a host of TV shows and narrator in many films, documentaries.

Amitabh has constantly challenged himself as an actor and experimented with various roles and genres. Something that Jaya has not done. Black, Teen Patti, Cheeni Kum, 102 not out, Paa etc Amitabh has expanded his range like no other actor has.

So no. Jaya is not the most talented actor in Bachchan family. It is Amitabh Bachchan who is the reason why Bachchan family is even famous in first place or has cemented its name in history. It is Amitabh who is the most talented, most respected, most honoured one in that family.
