Arre jaani real main toh hamne bhi dekha shayad mehsoos nahi kiya par kahiyo ka kande baane . Ab dekho Jo hona hai hoke rahega saath likha hain toh woh lakeerain takrakar rahegi .

He come to celebrate only after reading the second note; the cadet one, otherwise the way he comes and opens the door it looks like that he just open the door to say Monami that he doesn't want to come and celebrate and some more... or something else but looking at his expression, he definitely doesn't open the door to go with her.

Also he tries to go inside the room again, because of which he finds the second note and goes on thinking mode, otherwise why that thinking mode is shown after reading the second note when he has already decided to celebrate diwali and go with her.

Kisi ne darwaza knock kiya, aapne khola aur kisi ko nahi paaya to idhar-udhar dekhna laazmi si baat hain...usme aisa kya tha kuch-kuch hota types...

Monu knew Karan was in store room and Karan knew that Monu was outside.

Meri toh yeh interpretation thi ki her words did affect him and when she stopped speaking ,he got up and opened the door and then looked for her.His expressions were not ki woh usse mana karne ke liye bol raha hai because he could have continued to be silent and be in the room..

and I think he was about to close the store room(from outside) door when he saw the second letter.

Agar woh sirf "cadets" ke liye aata toh itna smile nahi karta aur na hi Monu ko wish karta.

He has been struggling with this for so long,he wouldnt have come for cadets.He came because he felt the impact of her words.

referencing about cadets was his way of speaking ,he would never say that he came for her or that her words affected him because that would mean opening up to her for which he is not yet ready.
