I may have taken a pause for now, but cannot appreciate the incredible story they built around Adi and Imlie. The other characters never really mattered because IMO, none of them really had a strong character sketch. I was fascinated to see Sumbul and Gashmeer play their role to so much perfection, they had the most genuine screen presence...it was indeed shocking to see such uniqueness on ITV. I am sucker for good cinematography and that is one other thing I completely adored about this show. Oh they pulled me right into their whirlwind, crazy story after almost 10 yrs of following any ITV show...Again just dropping by to send my Shout out into the universe via this thread! Completely understand and relate to this post!!! This is the first and only Hindi serial I have watched and completely hooked to and how!!! Started watching completely by accident when it auto-played on my hotstar app and that was the end for me!!! The first episode I watched.was I think the society function dance where Imlie faints, and of course this incredibly good looking guy Gaahmeer. I then went back and binge watched all the previous episodes! Sumbul and Gashmeer are really something. As much as people will disagree, I quite like Mayuri also. I think she portrayed the clueless, previleged, city girl persona quite well initially. Especially given the personal tragedy she went through, with losing her husband to suicide, I think it is pretty bold of her to take on a role like this, knowing how much hate she is likely to get! As much as I hate her characterization on the show, I have nothing but admiration for any woman who tries to pick up the pieces left and try to move on from a traumatic incident such as the one she faced. So really, kudos to the entire team, even Jyoti Gauba, for doing their respective jobs splendidly and keeping us all entertained!!!
