Finally after some days, Moksh was discharged from the hospital.
"Malharji, main hamare Pillu ko kucch nahi hone doongi," Agni's voice saying these words was echoing in his mind. Or was it something that Kalyani said five years ago? Malhar couldn't trust his memory. Malhar took deep breaths and closed his eyes. No it was indeed Agni who said these words. Suddenly things start falling into place. All those times when Agni was going to call Moksh Pillu and stopped in mid, her extreme care and worry towards Moksh. The way she was with Moksh all the time he was in hospital, leaving all her work, despite being extremely workaholic, it was something only a mother would do. The way she looked at Moksh. How can Malhar be so stupid? Malhar finally realized why Agni was behaving like that with him. He couldn't recognise his own wife but Moksh recognised his mother even though he was so young five years ago. But why Kalyani became Agni? What happened with her five years ago? Even though it pained him to the core, Malhar recalled all the events of five years ago. He had to find out the truth.
He remembered the place where Kalyani's things were found in a burning car. It was a village and no one wanted to tell anything except one person...
It took Malhar two days to track that man. Unfortunately, he was not fully mentally sound, that's why five years ago, Malhar didn't take his statement. But as Malhar was beginning to realise, it's better to trust such persons than selfish, so called normal humans.
"Bahut gande log the," the man said with a hiccup, "Main to dar ke maare chhup gaya tha."
Malhar handed the man his water bottle but the man started playing with it.
"Bahut maara us bechaari ko unhone," the man told every scene as he had scene. As he was not on the same page as normal humans mentally, he didn't mince his words and he never realised that what he was saying was too shocking and grotesque for a normal person to hear.
Malhar lost his voice for some time, then finally he said, "Ye tumhare haath ki chhoti ungli ko kya hua?"
"Kaat di," the man laughed, "Jo lamba aadmi us aurat ko maar raha tha na usi ne kaat di jab main usko paani dene gaya tha. Bechari bas aasman ki or dekhe Jaa rahi thi. Vaidya ji kehte hain ki jab koi marne wala ho to use pyaasa nahi rehne Dena chahiye. Magar main bahut accha hoon na. To maine use marne nahi diya. Jameen par ghasit kar Vaidya Ji ke paas tak le gaya."
"Vaidya Ji kahaan hain ab?" Malhar had no strength left but he had to ask.
"Bahut bura kiya tha us ladki ke saath un haiwano ne," Malhar was sitting inside Vaidya Ji's house, "Uske shareer ka koi hissa shayad hi bacha ho jahaan chaaku ke vaar ya cigarette se jalaane ke nishaan na hon. Magar sabse bura unhone Jo Kiya vo uske bacche ko usi ke saamne maarkar kiya. Jitna use tadpaya tha un dushton ne, vo ladki to kab ki mar jaati. Magar us ladki jitna jinda rehne ke liye sangharsh maine kisi ko karte nahi dekha. Har roz mujhe lagta tha ki vo nahi bachegi magar har roz vo khud ko jaane kaise zindaa rakhti thi. Sabse zyada gussa to mujhe uske pati par aata hai...kaisa pati tha jo apne khud ke bacche ko kisi aur ka samajhta raha? Jisne use aisi haalat me yoon besahara chhor diya? Agar vo aadmi mujhe kahin mil jaaye na..." Vaidya ji lifted his cane.
Malhar kneeled in front of him, "Maar lijiye aap mujhe. Main hi hoon us ladki ka vo badkismat pati jisne apne hi bacche aur biwi ko maut ke muh me dhakel diya."
Malhar was standing on the edge of the hill. "Kalyani," he shouted and collapsed. He broke down in the emptiness. He shouted again in all his helplessness. He lost his child due to his own stubborn stupidity. Kalyani had to tolerate so much just because of him. It was much better if he died...
"Fir mujhe beech raah chhorkar bhaag rahe hain Malharji," Malhar heard a voice. He knew he was hallucinating...
"Itne swaarthi aap kaise ho sakte hain? Hamare ek bacche ko to ham kho hi chuke hain kabhi socha hai aapke jaane ke baad Pillu ka kya hoga? Aap yoon nahi mar sakte Malharji..."
Finally Malhar wiped his tears.
Inside Deshmukh house
AS: "Anupriya daal me namak fir Kam hai. Dhyaan kahaan rehta hai tumhara?"
Anupriya: "Agar itni dikkat hai to aap khud hi khaana bana liya kariye na Aau Saheb."
AS couldn't believe what she heard.
"Kya bola tumne Anupriya?" She stood up and said directly.
"Bahut kar li maine aapki aur aapke parivaar ki naukri. Ab bas."
"Tumhari itni himmat?" Aau Saheb raised a hand to hit Anupriya, but someone stopped her hand.
"Malhar tum?" Aau Saheb's mouth was open in shock.
"Are re re...kya kar rahi hain Aau Saheb?" Malhar said, "Already aap par domestic violence aur abetment to suicide ke charges hain. Ab kya aap apne Marne Tak jail ka hi majaa lena chahti hain?"
"Jail? Y...ye kya keh rahe ho Malhar tum?" AS said, "Kya saboot hai tumhare paas?"
"Saboot hi to nahi tha AAU Saheb tabhi to paanch saal ye jaante huye bhi ki meri behen ki maut ki vajah aap aur aapka beta Bahu hain, main kucch nahi kar paaya. Magar us baar poore saboot ke saath aaya hoon."
Malhar played a video on mobile.
"Are ye kya? Jab hamne Swara ko uske lambe baal kaatne ko bola tha tab to Vivek tha hi nahi kamre me? Ye video nakli h."
Malhar chuckled, "Chaliye theek hai maana ye video nakli h. Magar saabit kaise karengi aap? Aapke bete Bahu ne to sazaa kam hone ke laalach me aapke khilaaf gawahi dene ka man bana liya h."
"Magar tumhe to naukri se nikaal diya tha na?"
"Kal hi court me kisi ne anonymous tip kisi ne bhijwai thi jisme ye proof tha ki maine koi rishwat nahi li. Fir unhone mujhe aaj hi vaapis join karne ko kaha. Mera first day h on job aaj after that incident to socha din ki shuruaat acche kaam se hi karoon."
Aau Saheb started laughing, "Kon khada hoga mere khilaaf court me? Kisi vakeel ki himmat nahi h mere khilaaf case ladne ki. Aurangabad me har koi..."
"Main ladoongi aapke khilaaf case Aau Saheb," Anupriya said, "Kyon? Aapko kya laga ki aapne kaha aur maine apni law ki padhai chhor di?"
"Anupriya," Aau Saheb was close to tears, "Tumne hame dhokha diya vo bhi is Rane parivaar ke liye. Tum jaogi hamare khilaaf? Tumhe itne saal rehne ke liye chhat di uska ye Silaa diya tumne hame? Hamari Umar ka to lihaj karo."
"Are Aau Saheb," Malhar said, "Ab is duniya me kon kisi ka lihaaj karta hai. Ab kya hi Karen aau Saheb, badi dusht hai ye duniyaa...."
